22-23? Not sure even that would be enough as all the top 10 seem to be powering on.

It's gonna be really tough but there is anyone thats certain we won't make it like a couple of weeks ago? I must admit I thought it was a tall order but with 2 wins on the trot and hull reading and Burton coming up... I think this could kick start a run (crossed fingers):)
I think 6th will finish on 77 pts just 25 more to go ...

Let's just have a moment here...

The clubs at the bottom end of the Division won't be as easy as some think... Our next few matches will be as hard if not harder than the visits to Villa, Derby County, Leeds Utd seemed...

Have faith by all means, but let's not fall into being blind....

Next stop... Hull.

The teams in the relegation battle always start picking up points towards the end of the season and don’t be surprised if some of the teams at the top start to bottle it as the pressure begins to build. Then of course, there’s the dangerous mid table teams with no pressure and nothing to play for. Factor in the unpredictable nature of the Championship and you’ll realise I haven’t got a fookin clue.
Owt could happen...just strap in, try and enjoy the ride and hope we finish above Boro and Bristol.
Also, it’s worth noting that we never do anything in the playoffs anyway ;-)

Burton to me the toughest of those games.they seem to do better away from home .and have picked up some good results.

Yeah I'd agree with that ... Throw in the fact Clough's their manager aswell . Saying that hulls got another one our former 'managers' but for some reason that doesnt scare me ;)

Thinking of how many managers some clubs have had lately .nearly every game for some is a former manager.

I think Middlesbrough are the biggest threat.

Derby, Villa and Cardiff will all be in Top 4, I think Bristol City will continue to fade, and though PNE will continue to be competitive I think they'll fall short, so it will be between us, Fulham and Boro for final two places.

Fulham have been in great form, but they'll lose one day and when they do, its about how they respond. Also very dependent on not getting injuries, they're more vulnerable to injuries than the rest, I think.

What result do you want from Bristol C- Fulham tonight? Would be good to see Fulham's unbeaten run end, but can't quite decide.

As they're both above us - we need them to draw :)

very interesting points spread at top and bottom of the division
clubs fighting to stay up 3 points cover the bottom 5 that means its more a dog fight than usual
its why wednesday are still in danger, if they finish the last 13 , like theyve just done the previous 13 and get 10 points again they will finish on 47 points
the dog fight will keep the top 6 totals a bit lower than last season, and theres been more drawn games so more lost points
I thnk 6th to 3rd will be 73 to 81 to 76 to 85 going on past tables
So 8 wins 24 points should put us at the bottom 2 spots 5th /6th 10 wins out of 14 would be a cert

Near enough agree with BTL. I think that this season we will need 80 points to have a chance, whether that be 5th or 6th.

I mentioned before the Wolves game, with 17 matches left, to look at it basically as 3x blocks of 5 games. 10 points in each block and then see where we are, with PNE and/or Bristol as being potentially a decider. We are currently 6/6 in the first block with Hull (3) & Reading (1) to play, so 4 points required & 4 points achievable. Obviously, 10 points from Burton (3), Fulham (0), Ipswich (3), Forest (1) & Brentford (0) will be a bigger ask, so if we can pick up two wins in the next two games, it gives us 2 points extra to play with. The final block is Cardiff (1), Barnsley (3), Boro (1), Millwall (3) & Birmingham (3), which I would be fairly confident of getting 10 points from.

Nobody has mentioned Brentford who are coming up fast.

As Tufty said we are capable of winning any of our last games but also of losing any of them. It becomes about character rather than ability at squeaky bum time.

Bristol City look unstable, Villa, Derby and Cardiff solid. Battle probably between us Fulham, Preston, Boro and Brentford for 2 places.

Brentford and Fulham are probably the best footballing sides of those, Boro the most experienced manager, us and Preston the most difficult to predict.

I would guess that just one of Brentford and Fulham will have a good run in. If us or Preston can be solid enough to get to 78 we will be OK, but if we wobble and come in below 76 Boro will creep in.
