Understand might take a bit longer if we are going foreign. Ensuring they speak reet proper Yaarkshire takes time, but FFS, how long do they want?

If after this, end-up with Michael Appleton or Jason Tindall, got to seriously question their wisdom of putting the ad in Crap Managers Weekly.

It might all be done and dusted and just waiting for the announcement, they might still be considering options because everyone who's applied is shit.

We're going down anyway and we can't buy players yet so I'd rather they take their time and (maybe) get it right.

I've heard all the excuses in the last few months - hiring manager has got Covid, lady in HR's house burnt down, someone's on holiday, we need the board to approve any salary increases, we've advertised this job but we've realised we can't afford to hire for it now, "we're just so busy," s-s-sorry, you're, you're breaking up....can you give me a...

The manager we want might not be able to move until the end of the season?

Are you also the kind of person that would be whinging if we'd employed someone instantly after CW left because we rushed it and didn't take the time available to make sure we employ the correct person?

Personally think it’s good to take our time, as mentioned prev, no point in rushing it in our circumstance.

But it’s the lack of rumours which is interesting (concerning?), if we were looking you’d have thought there’d be at least a murmur from the press... but nothing so far of any weight

What's the rush? As long as contact and conversations are happening I am not bothered if it's not done yet

For me there’s no rush for this season but I would want someone in post as soon as possible at the end to maximise their time to rebuild

Same. I want the new manager to get a clean start. I'd like to think we already have things in place and are just waiting for this season to be over (time will tell on that front). I really don't want a new manager to come in, not be able to change the side at all because of squad restrictions, and immediately start on the wrong foot. This season's dead, ideally a couple of days after it's officially done we bring in the new guy.

Ideally, as soon as the season ends. They’ll have a lot of videos to review of the current season and, if it were me, some of last season too, they could do with starting the recruitment process as soon as possible so that they can get the new players in for a pre-season and decide who’s getting sold to cover our losses. It’s going to be quite a job. I also wonder if they’ll move someone like Jags into a coaching role, someone who knows the players well and can give a bit of advice on their characters.

I’ve got to the point now of not giving a flying fuck. This is United we’re talking about, my hopes aren’t high.

Have we told em about the FFP of £13m if we don't get back to the English Super Premier League in 3 years?
