How long do you sulk after a defeat?

Winning or losing at golf and United winning or losing affects my mood for a few days. That doesn’t mean I “take it out on people”.
If you can simply accept defeat nor enjoy winning then life is a bit bland.
It's natural to be annoyed with yourself for losing something you have influence in. You've got no effect on the outcome of any game united play. To be annoyed for a 'few days' is way over the top if you ask me.

Getting thumped by Prem teams week in week out de-sensitised me.
I’m pretty sure things will return to normal this season - with the two fixtures against one team in particular.

Echo those sentiments, but it was other huge let downs over the years that made me numb to losing.. I expected a rodding last season..

The only exception is the pigs, I couldn't say the "better team won" if them cunts beat us

Depressed as soon as I saw lineup for Palace last august. Lasted until last Friday.

Can say i don't feel that bad I feel disappointed but i don't sulk but i might if we don't turn them over at Sheff 6 .That could make me sulk.

I'm still sulking about losing to Chelsea 3-2 and being relegated in 1994...
That was absolutely my gut reaction reading the OP. I cried real tears.

I was 11 at the time, it hurt for years and years.

I felt similar after the Wednesday semi final and the Palace play-off final.

I think those 3 did prepare me for a lifetime of ultra disappointment though. Nothing since has had remotely the impact those 3 did.

Depends on the nature of the result. If we've had it from the 10th minute. In already over it by half time. If we're robbed at the end, it will piss me off for a day or so

Depends on the level of passion.

As a youth I was gutted all weekend when we lost. A lot older now and it doesn’t affect me as much.

One thing that hasn’t diminished with me over time is my passion for the Blades.

It depends how long of a walk it is to the pub. If it’s a home game, about 3 minutes.

Provided we have played well, I sort of shrug it off these days.

If we play like shit and lose, it stings for longer.

When I was younger it would ruin my weekend at least, now not so much, I can get over a defeat relatively quickly nowadays it's usually the manner of the defeat that determines how long it is
That's me too.

When we lose every week not depressing just numbing, it’s when we expect to win it grates. We think we’re winning against QPR tomorrow, lose and it will hurt

Don’t take it too seriously, but the regular humiliation and embarrassment particularly at the start of last season was a difficult pill to swallow.
I think it was the sudden realisation just before ( team news) and during the Palace match that reality dawned. How Palace only won 1-0 I’ll never know. Even family and friends didn’t take the p*** like they should have. Too embarrassing

Football is an affliction its not something you choose , I try to hide my sorrow but its not possible, only a victory gets me though my solace

Not very long.

If I’m at the game in person it’s the walk back to the car/pub and a bit of discussion on the way home.

As I now view from a distance on TV it’s as long as it takes me to turn the tv off and put the remote on the side.

As a younger man the Blades result was important to my mood, now I realise that it’s something I can’t control and move on accordingly.

Depends how long I look at the shoutbox after. Switch that off and everything is forgotten.

Well we drew on Saturday against QPR but it felt like a defeat and my wife said I sulked until this morning (Mon)

When I was 11/12 it used to ruin my whole week. Didn’t want to get up for school. I wish I could use that excuse still.
