How infuritating will it be (refereeing)

The only season I remember us being royally shafted by refereeing decisions across the whole season was in the Prem last time.

That doesn't take away our own failings either. We got relegated by 1 goal and missed at least 3 penalties for starters.

Thing is no-one really remembers or worries about the bad decisions you get in successful seasons. Missing out on the play offs won't be down to refereeing decisions.

Well I was there & saw the Givens penalty miss, I don't think I have ever been so depressed as that day, my worse memory as a Blade, but plenty of things happened in games before that incident that meant we had chances to not be in that position, either a shot or header going wide, or a goal conceded from a mistake.

was there that day as well. Like you I have never felt so depressed at a football match. I was so annoyed John Mathews, our penalty taker, walked away from taking the penalty. I dont blame Givens, It was a poor penalty, but at least he had the bottle to take it. I thougth it was the worse day ever for the Blades. But it wasn't. It changed everything. Chairman, manager and players and next season in division 4, champions.
