Always rated McGoldrick, he was very good today, it would be interesting to see him in a deeper role behind two strikers from the off.

I'm also trying to figure out just how good the Moose actually is. I'm inclined to believe that he's a real talent with bags of skill and an eye for goal who likes a first time shot but I'm also wondering why he never really got a look in at Bournemouth? He sometimes does something really amazing then makes the wrong decision. Perhaps it was this that Eddie Howe saw on the training ground more regularly, it might be as simple as Eddie felt he needed to iron out a few more creases before he was ready to push for a starting place?

Either way I'm loving what I'm seeing from this partnership in its early days and tempted to get overexcited about Moose. Hopefully he is a real gem who goes on to have cult status.

my MOTM. But they were all good. Delighted for Lundstram who got the official MOTM. The lad is so cool in front of goal. He’s setting an example for our strikers.

The reason why Mousset never got a look in at Bournmouth
Was because Joshua King and Callum Wilson were their first choice front 2 strikers, those 2 have built a formidable partnership.

Eddie Howe always used The Moose as a sub but often he made his substitutions on 85 or 89 minutes.
That’s why Wilder ignored his poor Bournmouth record because he wasn’t given much of a chance, played plenty of matches but you can’t do much in 5 minutes.
Appreciate that Sharp is almost always sub this season but at least Wilder isn’t afraid to bring on his subs at the 60 minute stage.

Note: I heard the commentator on Talksport mention that it was Eddie Howe who recommended Moose to Chris Wilder.
Howe told Wilder he had a really talented player but he was never going to get a chance at Bournmouth.

I was amazed to find he wasn’t MOTM even on the ridiculous twitter voting (the fact Fleck wasn’t even in the 4 options was staggering), and doubly surprised to see him not leading the ratings on the forum votes. Is it a case that he was better seen at the ground than maybe on the streams? He was superb, and the minute he went off we stopped building stuff at the front. His pressing, hold-up, driving was masterful. He is as important to dictating the play in the final third to us in the current system as Duffy was in the system last season.

On top of that, Mousset had three assists officially, I think. It just shows what a great all around performance it was.
