How do you stop Growing Crowd Disorder

Stopping the reasons for disorder would be a good start. Wankers like Vardy and that twat last night stood in front of opposition fans with hands cupped behind their ears just gets all the wrong (or the right) emotions high.
It was in that same corner that we had last night that the Leicester fan tried to punch a Forest player. I understand why now.
Things like the opposition manager slamming the ball into your players stomach causing a scuffle involving pretty much every player on both teams (including the ones that could barely walk)?

I suppose in the short term it would need to have capacity impact. The first 3-5 rows blocked off and only so many blocks in the columns would be easier to police. In a sense you would be segregating the home stands so rather than they be one stand of 6 blocks with approx 6,000 fans you have 6 blocks of segregation although currently this wouldn't work with the season ticket sales etc and without increasing the capacity of most stadiums it will still leave most with a lot lower capacity as you could easily be taking away 300-500 allocation from a stand of 6,000

I'm not sure who that would benefit. You'd obviously need checks and balances in place to ensure that they're not just fans of other teams turning up at a game to get stands closed
I had in mind drugged idiots that claim to support the home side ! We have them and they are not bothered if it inconveniences the club or the real fans as long as it seems like a good idea to them at the time.

I guess they would soon get weeded out…

How much of an issue this is, I'm not sure.

Pitch invasions have always occurred when a team wins promotion or whatever. They are mostly harmless and celebratory. Can you really prevent them and would you even want to.

Last night Forest fans chose to crowd up to and antagonise the away end. That's a shame on them but it was dealt with by Police and stewards.

You can't legislate for the odd moron. If a player is assaulted then they will always be identified, banned and locked up. I'm not sure what else you can do. I don't think points docking or fining the club is going to be going through such an individual's mind as a deterrent.

Its the ones that jump on for 10 seconds after a goal or go on for the sake of it despite being told not to like they did after the Fulham game I'd like to see being individually fined.

It has to be a life ban for me.
You're then banning for life hundreds of people who run on the pitch at the end of a season. Bit harsh. It should be mandatory to provide an ID for a ticket everywhere..

Can grown-ups not help themselves from running onto a football pitch?

Is any action excusable on the basis that an adult got themselves all over-excited like a toddler at an ice cream counter?

Those people don't need ID, they need full time care if it's claimed it's an involuntary response to a bit of stimulation.

I think pitch invasions could be stopped much more easily if stewards were actually well paid security rather than a bunch of college lads who need a bit of cash. Pitch invasions always start with 10-20 coked up nutters running on, then people see it and want to join in so you get another 50-100 and it's all exponential from there. The number of people in the crowd who are twatish and drunk enough to start a pitch invasion has to be pretty small, the number who will join in is much bigger and the more get on the pitch, the less bad it seems joining in. I think if you have actual security to tackle the first few knob heads you nip it in the bud.

There needs to be a little more clarity on what is considered as disorder as I think some is disputable depending on many factors - stewarding, policing, the occasion etc,

But for encroachment, it’s clear cut and the best place to start. So for me it’s simple.

1. Fine the clubs this season. All of them who’ve had more than 10 fans on the pitch in a game. But get them all fined.
2. EFL put a statement out to all clubs and fans that it won’t be tolerated at all next season. That’s the warning,
3. Next season clubs get a stand closed for 3 games if they have more than 10 fans on the pitch from that stand in a game. Away fans, the away club gets 2 game away fan ban, 1 game stand closed on their smallest stand.

When fans start realising that there is zero tolerance and they could close an entire stand by their actions then they will start to realise.
like your ideas, id go a bit harder . However, you get someone from the South stand at BDTBL encroaching, are you really saying all the season ticket holders are going to have to miss the next 3 games for 10 knobs? don't think that would go down well.

And the kids?

Possibly, but we live here and don’t want it to spoil our games.

That's fine but the intimation is always that it's a product of UK society.

Football has to decide where it wants to go. Currently there are many elements of the game that are at odds with each other, both here and across the world.

So should fans stop dishing it out to players?

I have no problem with players giving it back when the opportunity arises, it's all part of the game

If fans can't take it back then shouldn't be dishing it out in the first place, and those that complain most about getting back are probably the ones dishing most of the shit in the first place.

What goes around comes around, and it's never an excuse for violent disorder.

Couldn't disagree more.

The basic reality is currently that if you get a bit excited about a goal and run on the pitch individually you are likely to get a banning order and fine.

Whereas if you are part of a larger pitch invasion - something that presents a much greater risk of serious issues (goading of away fans, danger to players/officials) due to the number of people involved you basically get away with it.

That seems...backwards...

Stick a few of these around the pitch. You call call them wankers, tell them their mum takes it up the arse as much as you like, they couldn't care less. Guarantee you will only try running onto the pitch one though.

Yes. That’s the point. Stand closed.

It's more of a societal thing isn't it? Unfortunately this country seems to have a growing number of absolute pricks.
I agree. Think I've said similar in other threads about the behaviour of some people. It's a reflection of where we are as a society.

A growing sense of entitlement/lack of accountability for one's actions/lack of proper deterrent, all contribute to a growing number of wankers walking around. Last night being one example.

I was there and no Notts Forest players received any abuse last night and certainly not before they scored. Why wouldn't they want to celebrate with their own fans and fellow players rather than antagonise us.

As I'm someone that travels away on a regular basis, do you really expect me to believe that? 🤣 🤣 🤣

Also, how many Forest players were deliberately "inciting" the crowd "before they scored"?

Crazy idea I know but could players celebrating a goal or victory celebrate with their own fans and teammates, rather than running to the opposition section.

Yes. There were no individual chants about Sturridge or Johnson but they chose to wind us up by celebrating in front of us. Why?
I don't understand the point of your second question but the answer is none.
