that lets them know we are deflatedLet their tyres down but even that is difficult to do because the owners of our club are never there.
Oh come off it, we're comfortably in the top 20. Lets stop with the loser attitude, it's whats got us here in the first place. One of the biggest clubs in England!?
Fuck me the transformation into Wendy fans is complete. "WABAW" indeed.
over the past 40 years our everage position is 30th , officialOh come off it, we're comfortably in the top 20. Lets stop with the loser attitude, it's whats got us here in the first place.
Hahahahah thats funny, fair play. 'My attitude' - the reason I have this attitude is because of the board, manager and players... More so the board and players.Danny,
So glad the board, manager and players don't have your attitude otherwise we're truly doomed.
Also what decent players would come to this club the way you sell it.
Agree we're limping towards the finishing line but we're only 1 point away from the playoffs.
Still plenty to play for. Football is a funny game, just keep the faith.
over the whole piece our league position average is 25thIt's a good job football didn't begin 40 years ago then, isn't it?
And? Is that all it takes to make a club 'big'?over the whole piece our league position average is 25th
we have great fans, ,but as we all know our trophy cabinet has a fine collection of cobwebsAnd? Is that all it takes to make a club 'big'?
If Bournemouth play mid table premier league football for a few years on attendances of 11 thou are they automatically bigger than us at that point?
We are a club that can attract 30,000 at least when it's going well, and when it's going badly, like now, we can still manage to break the 20 mark. Outstanding.
This is a big club, it's about time we started acting like it.
Exactly. If they're offended by anything I say then they must be precious little flowers indeed. And as to worrying about posting stuff on here in case children may access the interweb, you're many years too late.Thank you for making my morning - Stephen Fry on being offended.
It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more... than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so fucking what."
Erm, because of the fans we pull, the city we're in, and the fact outside the top, say 8 clubs its pretty much a free for all about who's the 'biggest'. It's not brain science.when I look back my first season we were promoted to the top league around 61 then stayed 7 years got relegated came up and had another 4 years there, then went 15 seasons out of it, back for 4 and one since
so in my 55 years of watching us only had 16 seasons in the top flight , 4 of those turned out to be relegation years another 7 we finished in the bottom 8
so in 55 years weve made an impression in the middle bit of the top league 5 times, best being 74 before the big slump
how does that make us big
you have to say we arent as big as west brom wolves burnley stoke southamptonErm, because of the fans we pull, the city we're in, and the fact outside the top, say 8 clubs its pretty much a free for all about who's the 'biggest'. It's not brain science.
Is that a song about Collins crying on the pitch at Morecambe by any chance?"fuckety fuckety fuck fuck ... Bless the little cunt".
Not quite up there with "Rose Garden", but has all the makings of a new Blades song....
The only reason I don't like this is because it will make it very difficult indeed to get a bevvie with all those people in the boozers, otherwise it's not a bad idea.Ive always thought that the last home game of the season would be a nice way to do it, let's say we don't make the play offs and deserve some sort of response to show our disappointment, remember it will be a nothing game, amounting to nothing....
Let's all sing the gcb, wait for the whistle and walk straight out and go to the pub instead....
That would definitely get the message across, and a couple of extra hours in the pubs full of blades would really bring football to the community..
The Chesterfield fans I spoke to seem to think that's the price they want and at this stage I'm not inclined to brush their chat to one side. They'll know more than us, mate, although admittedly they could be wrong at the same time. We might never know for real in the footballing world of undisclosed fees but you can have a dig at me whenever you like, mate.I hope we sign Morsy but it's not 200k, it never was 200k, and no one has ever said it is 200k.
Everybody wanted Wilson out but no one shouted loud enough.
In league one with Ched Evans up top, Kevin McDonald, Lee Williamson and Stephen Quinn pulling the strings & Harry Maguire and Matt Lowton in defence I think I could have achieved thatWould that be the very same Danny Wilson who has the highest win percentage of any permanent Sheffield United manager in the history of the club?![]()

Right, what has Danny Wilson done since? Apart from taking Barnsley down and getting sacked?Ah, the old 'I could have done it with those players' argument.
I suppose you could have achieved Sir Alex Fergusons record with the team he had also!
I'll say it again, the highest win percentage of any permanent manager in the history of Sheffield United. Still, you could have done that....![]()
You keep saying over and over again about not going to the Lane anymore then why dont you do it instead of trying to get people to follow you? I will still go to the Lane as long as I am alive and so will thousands of Blades.Just out of interest, how many people are already protesting by staying away from the Lane?
Just out of interest, how many people are already protesting by staying away from the Lane?
Please, please don't feel the need to apologies to these people! It was also the cover of one of the top-selling rock albums of the 1990's.
Pretty mainstream image really.
Do you genuinely think they're not being hit in the pocket now and, if so, why?As long as we continue to attract 20k gates NOTHING will change.
McCabe, HRH and his mate Phippsy KNOW that it doesn't matter how much crap is served up on the pitch, the fans will carry on lapping it up so there's no need to change anything.
The ONLY way to affect REAL change is to stop going as these aren't football men, they're business men and it's only when you hit them in their pocket will they sit up and pay attention.
We have some of the most loyal fans in the country but if we continue to get the gates we're getting, there'll be no January signings coming in and we'll have to get use to the garbage that's being served up.
