Need to be given a run in the side now instead of Norwood and Fleck, we need to see if they are up to it.
I just can't see the point in persevering with Oli and Jimmy, we know exactly what we are going to get with them. They are going to be good against poor non pressing teams like Peterborough and Hull and crap against the rest.
Just hope Hourihane and Guedioura turn out to be decent signings, they can't be worse than Oli and Jimmy surely.

Hourihane came to 2nd half and was way more visible than Norwood. Guedioura nor Berge wasn't even on the bench so dunno what's the thing with them, but would like to see both on the pitch.

SJ said something along the lines of "I can't force Berge to play..." Maybe it's the language barrier, but I wonder if he's avoiding playing for us in between Norway games.

Think it was just bad English. in his pre match interview he said he’s been out a long time with a similar injury and they don’t want to force it with him.

Berge is injured. Hamstring.

I'm usually loathe to jump on this type of thing and I've always been of the view that Sander is an exemplary pro.

However, I can't pretend that one or two things haven't crossed my mind in this regard.

Might be completely unsubstantiated but a couple of comments by the manager and a couple of absences by Sander have at least started to raise a red flag.

I think he meant he can't force Berge to play due to injury.

I agree with the OP. We need to see more from these two.

I think Sander would rather be playing than not. He came on and scored the other week.

It's horses for courses. I think the game last night needed a physical presence in midfield, so I would have played Hourihane and Guedioura. However that's not to say they should play every game.

Rotation of the midfield to suit the opposition.

Hourihane's corners have been good but he's not really stood out apart from those.

I thought that we had got the old John Fleck back a few games ago but he seems to have faded again and that's had a nitable impact on the wider team performance.

The article with Slav about Berge I read yesterday is he doesnt want him to rush back when he's not 100% sounds like he is a key player in his future strategy and said even if its Xmas before he is 100% happy with his fitness and injury recovery then so be it. Would rather have a 100% fit Berge later than risk a 98% Berge being out for another 6 months with injury.

I keep saying this, we got the old Fleck and Norwood back against poor, non pressing teams.
Put them against physical, pressing teams and you get the shit version

On the first half I did wonder where is Norwood as I didn't see him anywhere.
Maybe he has some support things while others are on the ball?

Hourihane was more visible on the 2nd half.
