Absolutely dominated them and should have been a couple ahead in the first half.

Seemed intent in trying to walk the ball in again.

They looked so poor, not sure if they had an off day or we were just that good we made them look poor.

We were better in pretty much every department (other than scoring).

Definitely 2 points dropped, and makes next weeks match huge.

If they play like that for the rest Of the season they'll drop points.

If we play like that for the rest of the season, we're going up.

Excited for next week.

Might have scored in the first half if that utter fucking wanker of a referee added on the correct minimum of 3 minutes rather than 1.

Agreed, there was certainly more than 1 minute.

Who was the ref? It was mentioned on RS he was a Prem ref.
Edit: mike jones. Never heard of him.

There were 40 fucking fouls in the game for Christ sake. Most of them creating a bigger stoppage than necessary due to their time wasting and the ref's fussyness.

There was a huge amount of time in the first half where the ball was dead.

And then in the second half I'm sure he barely played a second over 5 minutes despite the substitutions and other stoppages which totalled easily 2 minutes.

Played very well it's just the final ball/crosses that need to be better.
Bet they can't believe they got a draw out of that game.
O'Shea was unlucky hitting the post and it rolled back into the keepers hands unbelievable.

I got the impression the useless twat wanted to get out of there as soon as he could. It was almost as if he thought a level 3 match was beneath him.

This is the problem, as much as we tried we miss dozens of chances.
It all looks good on the pitch, it all looks good on paper, but missed chances are creating problems that shouldn't be there.

The last few home games especially:
If the Gillingham draw was a win (not unreasonable to assume)
If today's draw was a win (should have been)
That's four points extra and one less for Scunthorpe, and that doesn't even take into account the Fleetwood debacle (also at home)

If better results were achieved in these games well then next week's game becomes a real problem for Bolton, they would be under real pressure and it would not be a pressure game for us. Instead, it is now a pressure game.
Lose it, and things won't be looking anything like as good as they look right now

You're absolutely right BUT I wanted the game over as Scunt looked as likely to score at the end as us. That's why I was puzzled with the Done substitution - it gave them a chance to nick all 3 points.

Although i do agree with what you're saying, it's such a massive game for Bolton.

If they lose, they won't catch us.

We're benefiting from the division being pretty average this season as Scunny and Bolton aren't exactly putting a huge amount of pressure onto us.

Comparing our team to Wolves and Bristol City when they won this league, we're not at that level. We aren't going to stream roller this division, so we're going to drop points in matches we should be winning.

I think we'll go up by being the best of an average division and should we go up, some serious surgery will be required to that team to stand a chance of standing in the Championship.

I've just been more concerned about the Bolton game for a while, not sure why. It's not because they are better than us, or better than Scunthorpe
But I believe they are much more physical than us, and a lot more savvy in how to get away with stuff.
They will use every bit of that know how next Saturday and I think they will upset our play.

I can see them being the dirtiest and most physical team to visit Bramall Lane for years and it being our players that lose their discipline during the game due to a ref that allows them to get away with it.

Following on from that we'll have no end of bumps and bruises for the following few games.
