Like most Blades the last two games has really lifted the spirits.

However the inconsistency at home remains a worry.

This needs to be addressed and very quickly to make the Lane the fortress it normally is.

The problem has been that we have been quite easy to nullify at home and haven't had the game winners in the team whereas away, there's more pressure on the home team to take the game to us and that seems to suit us. No doubt promotion will be won or lost at BDTBL this season, particularly as 4 of our last 6 games are at home.

What's been good about the last two games is that the team look more balanced and carry more of an attacking threat, Saturday will tell I guess.

Would be nice to get an early goal Colchesters form has improved of late, things will be tense more the fans than the team but this latest line up seems to have more options so lets get em early and settle things down.

I keep saying, tek 'em for a charabanc trip round Derbyshire and pretend we are playing away!

The introduction of pace with Forte, Murphy and the new chap Poleon will certainly help open things up at home and will mean we can get round the back of teams rather than try to play through them (which we're not really good enough to do). Coupled with the return to fitness of Collins and Hill I fully expect a W6 D2 L0 return from our remaining home matches.

had Doyles shot that thudded the post gone in , we would have hammered them
Whoa, whoa, whoa, I thought the general consensus was that Doyle shouldn't be allowed near the football team :)

I liked Danny Wilsons comment on KMacs goal "about time he scored wasnt it" - very amusing!

In seriousness though, it's great to see the goals being shared around the team. Doyle, KMac, Robson, forte, murphy and Kitson. Time for Flynn to put his share in!

Good job I backed us @10/1 after the Shrews game and again @8/1 before yesterdays game :) Not saying we're nailed on but a good result next Saturday and we'll be favs again.

Away from the potential smugness and back to the thread, as said earlier, with 4 out of the last 6 this season at home, promotion will be won or lost at our place and forget the runs of Yeovil and Bournemouth now, it's what matters from here on in that counts, just ask our neighbours.

looking at the fixtures with the exception of next week our toughest games are at the lane therefore we should have a better chance of taking a few more points, home form isn't great but with the crowd behind us it give us a better shout. I'd happily take a point next week, but i have a feeling we could get all 3.

Oh how three wins on the bounce raises expectations. :)

Not really a sitter. The ball ricocheted out at pace, bounced a yard in front of him and was rising when it reached him. It's one of those where you've a second to react and if you don't get over the ball it just goes skywards.

I should know - the number of times I've had to fetch my shots from Northumberland Road is frankly distressing. :)
