Holding

And Holding so fitted that profile. I wonder what changed?
Baffling really

The more I think about it the more it annoys me.

I keep trying to get my head around Wilder's thought process. Not starting him I sort of understood but to not bring him on at any point in the second half to see out the match is bizarre.

Constantly picking Nobbo over Holding is one of Wilder’s biggest mistakes. Wilder hasn’t learnt from how bad Robbo was in the PL seasons and the clangers he keeps dropping in the championship. Wilder is terrible at learning from his mistakes and it’s cost us dearly.

No. What you don’t realise is that Wilder never makes mistakes, hence he has no need to learn and never will.

But if we were really serious we wouldn't have looked at the loan market. We'd have a signed a defender on a perm deal.
If Rak-Sakyi plays we win playoffs, instead we got Brewster for 65 minutes. Criminal.
Brewster only played due to wilders desperate attempts of getting him to sign a new contract (and try and convince us hes a good player and worth all the money he spunked on him).

Wilder mentioned around end of jan/Feb in a interview that brewster knocked on his door around Xmas time and said he wanted to leave in January and wilder said he didn't want him to leave, then brewster started getting picked in starting 11 all time.

Wilders getting dictated to by the players, which never used to be the case. Wilder had that ferguson cut throat about him in his first stint, cleared all dead wood when he came in and any players that said wanted new contract (duffy) or didn't want to be here was out the door, got rid of underperforming players (he also saw when 1 of his signings wasnt working out, to not consistently play them and replace)

Now hes happy to be bent over by the likes of brewster and robbo.

Its just baffling.

I know the fan base are split at the moment, but perhaps a CW supporter or friend could give a little insight as to why CW chose not to use Holding.

Was it injury, his attitude, tactical or as many are thinking, loyalty to Robbo.

Us punters all have our thoughts, but it would be good to have an insight, because its a definate head scratcher.

Pashun. Culture carrier. Gets stuck in.

TBF he gave a shit last season. That put him in a shortlist of about 4 players.
I was going to say that Ben Osborn was probably one of the other candidates for that season so it was hardly a high bar!

The thing I don't understand is that you only get fit and match fit by playing but he didn't play for the U-21s. Makes no sense.

This was worse than Clough picking Alcock and that cunt McEverley as centre backs in 2015.

Clough fucked off a few weeks later.

I think its clear that Wilder places Pashun ahead of technical ability, probably one of the reasons that JRS never got a good run of games

It's more that Wilder expects full blooded pashun in training. Some players aren't quite attuned to that.

It's obvious that holding as been a quality player throughout his career, he wouldn't have played the amount of games he did for arsenal and arsene wenger if he wasn't,
he should have been in the side regular instead of Robinson, playing for under 21s to improve his fitness
I would love him to come back in the summer
He would be one of the very best, if not the best centre half in the league

The mistake was made by Moore who gave the ball to the guy who scored. Simples.
weve done nothing much else than pass the ball sideways and backwards for most of the season thats the managers tactics and its the main reason apart from the brizzle semi theres been little or no atmosphere at the lane this season its winning football but not attractive football

If Holding was offered the chance to come back, would he, knowing there's a chance he may not start under wilder if Anel & Robbo are still here

Baffling is the word.
There was ample opportunity to give Holding minutes to get him up to match fitness. But CW persisted with an inferior option for reasons only known to himself.

probably because we started playing keifer moore again and needed robinson for his long throw certainly not for his defending can never forgive him for not putting any sort of challenge in on mayender 😬

well wilder picked robinson over holding at wembley yet another baffling decision by our leader and it cost the club a few bob
Wilder not picking Holding for the semis was the baffling one.
Once Robbo played in both semis he was always going to play at Wembley
