I think he’d be tempted by a PL club salary, possibly even a championship one. I watched the highlights of CCM v Adelaide and there were as many empty seats as the Sty. I don’t think proper football is a big revenue generator over there.
Adelaide are managed by Carl Veart, so it was a kind of ex-Blade derby.
Sounds very plausible. I just have no idea how easy it is to just up sticks at 40+ to a job with very little security. I don't know if he's married/family etc?

I think he’s got family. Whilst there isn’t much security, you can negotiate your compensation as part of the contract (most contracts with clubs who know what they’re doing contain such a clause) and if you’re looking at sums over £1,000,000 and the possibility of much more if you’re even half successful, it has to be tempting. Particularly if it’s the country you’re from and there’s no language barrier.
I couldn’t see him leaving Aus to go to Bolton, for example, but a big championship club might tempt him and a PL club surely would. Most of the managers are from other countries and they don’t mind moving from country to country. It’s part of the job, like being in the forces.

I know sweet FA about football Down Under so is there anyone on here that has seen some of the matches since Monty has been manager in reagrd to what type of football he plays/philosophy etc?

Just short of a 49% win percentage not too shabby too.
