I have just been reading the Leeds forum. The parallels with Chris Wilder's achievement with a unique system and the team being better than the sum of the parts is striking. Leeds fans are very critical of the money spent on bad players, and still relying on the Championship squad. When the teamwork and system are so crucial, both teams are finding it impossible to buy "better players" to fit in the team. Then the premier league work out the system, and then it comes down to who has the better (and usually the higher paid) players. Now many Leeds fans want to change Bielsa, and criticise him for sticking with a system that is no longer working! So we lose patience with Jokanovic, for not succeeding in playing a different style with the same players. I think we are now right to play the system that suits most of the players and evolve the team with a plan, and move on the the players who look bad (or maybe just are bad) in our system. Not sure about Jokanavic, but he probably had no chance of succeeding as he was never going to get the players he needed, so a wasted appointment.
