Really think Palace are going to do their annual escape trick and we should be aiming higher up. Boro losing at the moment at home are the ones we should be gunning for epsecially as we have them at home.

Bizarre that Palace have managed to remain in any sort of danger at all given that since the end of October their home record is W7 D5 L0 (won 8 after today by the looks of it).

Admittedly they haven't helped themselves by getting precisely 2 points away from home in that time, but none the less their home record will keep them up.

Boro are 9 points ahead of us with a game in hand (prior to the final whistle today that is, but they'll get it back on Monday night). With the best will in the world, I really can't see it...

For Donny and Derby too, 9 points is a huge margin, even without the extra game. To make that up we really do have to do silly things like winning at QPR.

I'll be there on Monday night, supporting the lads all the way, but - and I really hope I'm wrong in this - I think the chance has gone.

We should aim at trying not to finish bottom, anything else is pure fantasy.

I don't think its as easy to predict the patterns of a football season based on history as it might seem. I'd think its more of a psychological thing. Anyway, based on seeing their highlights, Palace do appear to be confident. Derby and, in particular, Doncaster seem to really be slipping so I have my eyes on both of those. I've not seen Doncaster play enough to form an opinion which is really worthwhile, but teams who play the way they do (which I would love to see United do successfully) can lack a little mettle, which comes in handy in high-tension games. Its a shame the international break came after the Leeds game for us, and its hard to guess just how confident we'll be after the last away outing (If we do well against QPR, it might be easy to pass the Watford match off as an anomaly with the excuse of going down to 9 so early). Were in a bad position, and purely based on league table im quite pessimistic about our chances of staying up, but we certainly still have a chance of doing it, and if I was succumbing to cliché I wouldn't even say it was a 'long shot', but more of an 'uphill battle'.

Admire your optimism Kent but the only relief is we'll be down before we play our last home game.
Gonna be another car crash summer, hopefully relieved by some comedy intervention from Rubber Man.
Season ticket deadline April 17? Yeah right, they'll be offering them at reduced prices until September.

Well, I just like to hear people being optimistic, because it makes me think I might just be wrong (wouldn't be the first time...)

Keep it up Kent! If all else fails, a total pig-headed refusal to look facts in the face will see us through. ;)

Hang on a minute. We can't catch Palace up, so let's go after someone higher up? Fuck it. QPR are there for the taking. :D

Win our home games and we're home and dry. (ahem)
As unrealistic as it appears. When we lost to scunthorpe what odds would you have got on beating the scabs and weeds??????????????
Fortress Bramall Lane !

Today has made it bit more difficult but if Palace don't win again we only need three wins.

never over till the fat bint warbles, Blade till i die.
silver lining is IF we go down we got 6 point start from wendy games :)
only need another 44ish to avoid relegation :)
