I am almost 70 now and I could still beat that !, Monty reminds me of the days before Chris when skillful midfielders seemed a thing of the past !. I know I know , about 4 or 5 managers picked him ! but I still think it's because we couldn't afford owt better ?...

Never say a bad word about monty, yes he was limited as a footballer, in a skill sense, but he is a part of a small group of players over the years I have been watching, that gave everything he had for this club

I played fuck with him on many occasions for giving the ball away but overall his commitment and desire to compete and drive us on was second to none. Wouldn't work in our team but was very effective under Warnock and co.

I know this probably belongs in the Unpopular Opinions thread but giving everything for the shirt, particularly when you’re the worst player in the team, is the bare minimum for me.

I respected his desire but I hated watching him. He was constantly giving it away and got the way - a classic Warnock midfielder.

Thanks for the effort and the memories no doubt, but watching someone like Norwood is so much more fun.
