I've been a member for about a year now and can only say that this is the most offensive post that Ive seen on here.

I remember someone posting racist comments that were quite rightly quickly removed.

I've read the entire thread that led to Lenner's being banned and is still being debated on other threads and can understand why the decision was taken, even though I believe it was wrong.

What I can't understand is how after banning Len, Linz can then be linked as a friend to someone prepared to put their name to sexist garbage like this on the forum. Should be unacceptable even in the pig and truffle.

Time for a poo thread then!

Really? The most offensive? Of all time?

....sexist garbage like this on the forum. Should be unacceptable even in the pig and truffle.

Why? Seriously, why? I can understand that pictures of naked ladies might want to be in the P&T, but these, ahem, ladies, are covered, just. And given that they're Wendy fans, then some photoshopping is understandable. But this comment?

Reyt bow wows
One of em looks like she's got a hammock for her beer belly

This is the most offensive ever? Really?

Bollocks to that. The wench put her picture into the public domain, presumably so men could drool over her. Fair do's but it works both ways. If she wants to be an advert for pie munchers weekly, her advert worked.

When pissed up and pissed off last night then yes, in the more sober light of morning, no.

However I had no objections to most of the earlier posts on the thread because they were funny and the photoshopping of the photos was fine.
When it comes to Judge's post I might be missing the joke but all I see are insults against the women simply because they're wearing blue and white.
I'm not offended but I believe the post is offensive because my wife and daughter would be if they read it.

O.K. - explanation over I'm back off to the pub for a hair of the dog along with my copies of Germaine Greer, Andrea Dworkin and a bra to burn.

Posting when pissed and wondering what the fuck you've written, and why you've written it.

We've all done it!

In this thread, or generally?

Generally , seems people are very easily offended nowadays and I will bear it in mind before future posts on here

No you won't. The only thing offensive about it was the shirts they were modelling, why do people decide to get offended on behalf of others, it baffles me!

I wouldn't say it's sexist - any gender in a united shirt is more attractive than any gender in wednesday shirt...

Interesting argument. So I shouldn't be offended if someone at the Lane calls LJF a black bastard because I am not black?

I missread that for a moment and thought it said she was marrying Strapon!

I thought she was a Blade too, but Google seemed to suggest otherwise. She's like a fit Michael Palin.

That's not really to the point though is it mate, would it offend you personally to hear it? (I'm sure it would of course, as it would most people)

What I'm getting at is that if it doesn't offend you personally, then why get offended "on behalf of others"? Hearing that kind of comment would offend me personally (I'm not black either for the record) but if it didn't offend me but may offend others, then so what? That's not my problem!

But the guy on here obviously was offended by the comment about the Owlette in question, so I don't really see your point.

Read what he said. He didn't say it offended him personally, but that it may offend his wife and daughter, so therefore took offence to the post, hence "being offended on behalf of others"

This is getting into the type of semantic argument I love :-)

But he is still personally offended because of the offence he thinks it might cause to others. Just as I might be offended by racial abuse directed at LJF on the basis that I think it might offend LJF and other black people.

I thought it might be, I'm glad I can help!

It's hard to explain it over a keyboard, but what I'm saying is if it doesn't offend you directly then why the need to be offended by it? I would get offended by racial abuse, not because it might offend LJF and others but because racism is just completely unacceptable.

On that basis we might as well not say anything, because different people are offended by a whole range of things!

Just for the sake of argument, you understand (rhetoric alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those easily offended are advised not to read further) but I need to clear up this 'directly affected' and 'on behalf of others' bit. Are you married, NB? If so, what you seem to be saying is that I could call your wife a douche bag and any kids you might have retards with relative impunity. (Rhetoric all clear sounds)

If you could remain unoffended after that, then I'll have to agree your argument has weight.

So where we would both agree that racism is completely unacceptable, we would disagree over whether or not sexism is acceptable.
In both cases neither of us are being directly offended,(well unless you are black or a woman or both) and your avatar is just a smokescreen.
