I'm willing to bet they were supporting their team with good natured fun. Without any of the undertlying tribal warfare we seem to get from a large proportion of the English.

Well there were a few other people we spotted in England shirts that didn't seem to get any bother, and we were absolutely fine. Bear in mind police also closed entry due to apparently 200k people being in attendance!

It was all a good party atmosphere and much less intimidating/stressful as I'd have imagined. They had various acts live on the main stage beforehand (which we managed to get in front of)... Velile and Safri Duo, Sebastian Hämer, Jason Derulo and K'Naan if anyone is interested.

The only potential flare ups we saw the entire day (amongst a mile packed full of people who had been drinking all day long in the blazing hot sun) were between two German teenagers exchanging a few angry words with each other as we were on our way out. Then a pissed up German chav (the only chav we've actually seen so far on our entire trip) was trying to intimidate random public on our way back (10/15 minutes from the fan park), he realised from my look that it wasn't going to work and just walked past us with his best gangsta lean :)

I' m sorry to disappoint but I was at the beer garden near my home in Muncih for the debacle and the aggression in the atmosphere was very tangible. I had a similar experience at a public viewing for a match between Germany and Poland four years ago. Hope Arentina thrash them so they calm down a bit.
