Same with me. Can't believe they waffle on for an hour ore match and then the in game commentators are usually far worse

Sky is all too happy to mute crowd noise for swearing and 'Sky tv is fkin shit', but the biggest turn off is the fkin commentators- strange that we can't mute them ffs

It was amusing that both teams were referred to as 'Bristol' on here.

It's the double standards that pisses me off as many blades fans hate us being called Sheffield.

Very good last season when we had him on co commentary. Just about the only one who didn’t lapse into cliche with us, and clearly does his homework. Seems to be confined to the international feeds of PL games.

McAnuff, mentioned upthread, is consistently good and really knows the EFL but they use him as a studio guy only. Sam Parkin was also excellent in that role.

So in talking about a recent game when we had Earnshaw commenting…that being the topic after all….i have to say Bristol city to be clear it was them we played rather than rovers…when we have not played Rovers recently OR most importantly never with Earnshaw on commentary.

And that’s to allow some imaginary respect to Rovers…absolute bollocks.

And if we are talking about it, the Sheffield thing….dont bother me.
I get more annoyed at ManU being simply referred to as United when pundits discuss teams in general…as if there was only ever one and the others are inconsequential.
Man City…City the same.
So for example…United are in a period of transition…United need a change of manager..etc
If someone’s saying “we play Sheffield next” and there’s 2 in same league as there is presently then be clear about it and say the full name .
Otherwise what’s the problem.

Maybe Sky's co-coms have been told not to show any club bias and she over compensated a bit? I did noticed that she said 'us' and 'we' a couple of times when referring to United, but generally I think she's head and shoulders the best female pundit and better than most of the blokes. Knowledgeable about the game in general, seems to be genned up on the club's she's covering and comes very across well (IMO).
