Saturdays team talk...."lads who got promoted last time what did you spend the 20 million in bonus wages on"

" We were 14 points clear , so this season when we lose in the play off away leg ,GET OFF THE FUCKING PITCH BEFORE THEIR FANS GET ON IT ! "

No. Noone would have by virtue none of those complete charlatons had us virtually promoted before collapsing.
I don’t think we’re playing very differently to how we’ve played all season. I don’t think we’re capable of playing a million times better. I don’t even think our results over the past month or two are that different to how they’ve been all season.

I do think that Middlesborough have played brilliantly to get 13 wins in 15 games, and if they keep that up they’ll get promoted.

I wouldn’t rush to blame Hecky for the fact that Middlesborough are now on a fantastic run and have closed the gap impressively and now look a decent bet for getting promoted.

Since he was appointed, he’s done a pretty good job - if he was completely useless, we probably wouldn’t have got as many points as we have. He’s alright; the team are doing alright. If we win enough matches in the next couple of months we might get promoted.

Well yes i guess if we win enough matches we might. Let's see how we go on Saturday. Win that and we are looking a little better.

I'm still looking to catch Burnley, we win sat and they lose, we win our game in hand, and beat them at turf Moor we will piss it.....there bottle will have gone by then and il see United win something more impressive than league 1. 😉
You jest sir.
You come on here with all your optimism, putting a positive slant on things, smug In the knowledge that your outlook has social and physiological benefits compared with the sooth saying doomsters desperate to get something right who could depress the erection right off a viagra’d donkey.

I might be wrong and I can’t be bothered to add it all up but don’t we have more points from the second 16 games than the first? If that’s right then actually we haven’t fallen off.
Let’s be right if Boro can maintain their current form over the last 13 games they have they’ll probably overtake us but let’s not underestimate how hard that’ll be to do. If they do it then fair play to them they will deserve all the plaudits they get.

You are correct.

FIrst 16 games: W7 D5 L4 = 26 points
Next 16 games: W11 D2 L3 = 35 points

For what it's worth,
Boro's last 16 games: W13 D1 L2 = 40 points

Ifs, buts and maybes... but if we perform in the next 14 games as we have in the last 16, Boro will have to win virtually every one of their last 13 to catch up. If they do that then they will have won at least 25 out of 30 games. That's unprecedented, certainly in the second tier. It would extrapolate to 115-120 points over the full season.

Type you say? Interesting. And what type are you? Self important or Bully?

What gives you that impression? In fact a self-important bully boy describes very well the way you are coming across.........you appear a very angry and aggressive person.

As for me, I'm a simple Yorkshireman, with heavy emphasis on the simple...

I'll do you the courtesy of replying to a response I made to someone else.
I'm not a whining mardy arse. I'm expressing my opinion regarding a manager I have never had confidence or belief in. Sadly I think i'll be proved right. I'm not going to regurgitate the myriad of reasons I don't rate our manager but given I actually go to our games which I understand you don't I at least have the right to express an opinion as a season ticket holder. Perhaps when you put your hand in your pocket and go to a game I might have a slight amount of respect for your opinion.
Watch out it’s a fucking bigger blade alert.

So you go to games, so do nearly 30,000 others. Why does that mean your opinion is more valid than somebody else’s? I’ll answer the question for you, it doesn’t.

The ‘myriad of reasons’ pretty much equates to ‘we’ve lost 2 games in a row so I’m shitting myself about not getting promoted.’

Our record under Heckinbottom is the best of any manager we’ve had apart from Danny Wilson (incidentally another manager who people couldn’t wait to see the back of, then realised how fucking entitled they’d been when David Weir came in).

In the words of the great Kevin Keegan, I’d love it if we beat Boro to promotion, love it. Then I’d find every negative bed wetter on this forum and gleefully tell them ‘I told you so’.

Get a grip, and as for not respecting someone because they don’t go to games, grow up, you’ve no idea why people don’t go to games. As if you’re talking about people having to ‘put their hands in their pockets’ before you have any respect for them, in a fucking cost of living crisis. Get a fucking grip.

Mmm. Cost of living "crisis" I reckon there are an awful lot of people in different parts of the world existing in a crisis situation. Find it insulting to them to describe living in Western Europe in the same terms.
Back to football. My opinion is just that and of course you are perfectly entitled to disagree. You might like to reconsider insulting anyone not convinced about our likelihood of going up . Bedwetters. Get a grip.
