If Man United have a goalkeeping crisis, could they recall him? Does anyone know if that's a possibility?

Not managed to find easily the equivalent info re the Premier League but certainly in the EFL rules it implies a goalkeeper recall can be outside the transfer window

"55.1.5 Notwithstanding the provisions of Regulation 55.1.1, a Standard Loan of a goalkeeper (but not otherwise) may be subject to a recall clause exercisable at any time. Any recall may only be implemented:

(a) in extenuating circumstances and with the consent of The League, such extenuating circumstances to be determined in The League's absolute discretion; or

(b) where the Club seeking to exercise the recall has only one Professional Goalkeeper available (applying the criteria set out in Regulations 57.1.1 to 57.1.3 below). The recall will be subject to not less than 24 hours’ written notice.

A goalkeeper shall not be permitted to resume any Standard Loan following the exercise of a rec

As a member of the goalkeepers union, I would like to add to the many positives following the Arsenal match the fact that after Henderson's error against Liverpool, he has kept 2 clean sheets, and in both games he has had relatively little to do, but has kept his concentration levels high, and made good saves when called on. I think his save in the first half against Arsenal has been rather under-rated as 'a save he would be expected to make'. His position and concentration for that save were excellent, he started his dive immediately, which made it clear as soon as he started moving that he was going to save it, and he pushed the ball comprehensively away from the danger area. It was one of those saves that convinces me that a seat directly behind the goal is where I prefer to be. It was also the kind of long-range shot that has produced quite a few goals against us in recent years, but not past Henderson (or have I forgotten something?). And confirmation of the quality of the save came from Xhaka, who before the corner was taken, went up to Henderson and shook his hand. A nice touch...or was he hoping to test the lad's powers of concentration? Anyway, for me that was one of the positives to have come out of Monday evening, though I know with keepers the risk of a lapse is always there. His one dumb moment was his yellow card - he should be smarter with wasting time/slowing the game down.

If you're in the goalkeepers union, keep thi beer on the bar, don't hold it in case you drop it.

Always here to help. 😊

Anybody in the keepers union knows full well that beer when received should and will be drunk immediately so as not to remain a distraction during the game. In a 30 year career, apart from being booked for asking a referee what he did for a living, my only other booking was for keeping a radio and a can of Jack Daniels and Coke by the side of the goal post. It was deemed a danger to other players. I can assure you that members of the union would never drop or spill alcohol.

A mistake like the Liverpool one that’s hopefully sharpened his mind again. Clearly did against Watford as he earned us 2 points, so in effect cancelled out the point dropped against Pool.

Not a great analyser of Keepers but he doesn’t appear to be very confident coming off his line. In the sense of when to go for a ball or not. Just an observation really, his kicking seemed better on Monday as well.

Never doubted his shot stopping ability, which is at the highest level

He's a top bloke.

No wonder he fits in well.

In my declining years I played behind a back 4 whose way of encouraging me to maintain my standards in goal was to entrust me with their alcohol supplies to look after in the goal. They did not mind if we let in a goal, but if any of their drinks were spilt I was in serious trouble. I found it particularly unnerving when the opposition got a corner, and one of our central defenders would come into the goal for a swig of whiskey before the kick was taken. As the game went on his accuracy with the ball declined alarmingly, but many opposition strikers were so intimidated by his increasingly strange behaviour that they dropped into ever deeper positions, leaving me in relative peace.

He must have played well against Watford to earn us two points

I agree, from my seat at the back of the kop almost bang on the middle of the goal I would have called that exactly as described. A great save but he was always going to make it due to his early initial movement towards the corner.

Good. Well deserved and it’s nice to see our players getting noticed

two clean sheets in Oct, 2nd in league so far with 4 clean sheets, he has rarely put a foot wrong since liverpool
Don't get me wrong I'm not doubting he's been good but I wouldn't even say he's been our best performer never mind the leagues.

yeah it's a funny one... i couldn't really pick him as our best performer either, yet strangely he is probably been one of the best keepers in the league.
