One thing I never understand is the reaction to goalkeepers being instrumental in gaining teams one or three points. When they make mistakes they are pilloried for not doing their job properly, but when they play well and the rest of the team are poor, it somehow makes the point(s) undeserved. If we win because of a couple of outstanding goals, we tend not to think that we got lucky - it will be Sharp or Duffy scoring the goals that their talents merit. In the same way the point at Rotherham (it could have been 3) was not lucky - Wilder and co signed a good goalkeeper, who works hard, and on Saturday his were the eye-catching moments which kept us in the game. Good on him and the staff - he did his job well, as they would expect. That was not a lucky point - it was a point won in significant part by one of the team playing exceptionally well. You don't get good goalkeepers by good luck - it is part of the team-building process. No wonder the goalkeepers' union is alive and well.;)

Agreed. In the days of Alan Kelly I remember time and time again opposition fans saying we were lucky because we’d have lost if it wasn’t for Kelly - as if the quality of a goalkeeper is some sort of random element in the game. Very odd.

I thought Blackman was great but this kid is a step up.
I am with you there. We need to remember that Blackman had some (to me) minor problems in Autumn/early winter, and Henderson is young and has not played a lot of games for us yet. If he makes an error or 2, he will probably bounce back well, but he could do with allowances being made for his age. I found it interesting that a 30-year-old Premier League keeper, Rui Patricio, let in a free-kick v Huddersfield on Sunday almost exactly the same as the one Henderson got a bit of stick for letting in v Stoke; the wall Wolves set up was even worse than ours in the Stoke match.
