Only Quinn, Morgan and Monty played more games than Hendo last season, and the season before that he made 32 appearances, which wasn't bad going considering he wasn't the first choice striker for half the season (Beattie was).

73 appearances from a possible 106 - So roughly 68%.
Not great, there's worse (Ryan France ), but still not great I think you'll agree.

Also, he was brought in by Blackwell, so we was always going to play him where possible (also with a high transfer fee), irrelevant of whether Beattie was there (for half a season) or not.

As for the strike rate, I really don't think that is anything to write home about if we're honest.

For me, his wages are the reason we shouldn't have him on our books - not that he get sents off on an average of twice per season.
His injury record, isn't as bad as some would make out either, he has just had a bad injury lately.

Also, with the amount of players we've had lately, not many people will rack up many appearances, so it's hardly surprising he is 4th

Yup, it's about value for money. None of our high earners are showing enough on the pitch to be worth their wage. Not one.

And the generosity of their pay will seem doubly absurd in the next tier.
