He must know by now that he aint gonna get away with fuck all and so must adapt his game accordingly.

I think Henderson was unlucky yesterday. However, for whatever reason, he gets sent off far too often and doesn't play enough games. Would have been worth having for a relegation battle (over now) but definitely one that should be offloaded in the attempt to draw a line under this disastrous period for the club.

He cost us a fortune in transfer fees and wages, and can be a genuinely useful player on his day. Yet through a combination of injury and his own seemingly boundless stupidity, he's contributed little.

There are a couple of things I find it hard to forgive. Not trying and then unprofessionalism, in that order. Jonathan Hunt tops the scale for the former, but Hendo is streets ahead for the latter.

Even Nosworthy's last man tangos, and Charlie Hartfield's red mists aren't a patch on Hendo's self inflicted exiles.

Hendo was homing in on goal but his eagerness to score and probably his lack of speed / fitness probably cost Hodson the bruise and gashed ankle (note, not broken ankle). Injury prone, poor discipline, target for refs. None of it matters. What matters is the pair of them don't play enough games. Getting rid of Henderson would be a no brainer. I'd offer Williamson a pay as you play type contract.

I can't see any of them signing a new contract either way. I'd imagine the next negotiations will involve dividing current salaries by a third. And given Hendo's track record, that will still be too high.

I'd be saying "Forget the analysis, the facts speak for themselves. He doesn't play enough games".

I was all for playing him for the last few games as a target man for out and out hoof (probably our only chance). But his record speaks for itself. He's a liability and and expensive one at that. He shouldn;t play any part in our longer term future.

Only Quinn, Morgan and Monty played more games than Hendo last season, and the season before that he made 32 appearances, which wasn't bad going considering he wasn't the first choice striker for half the season (Beattie was).

He's also got the best strike rate out of any of our front men (Though it is close between them all).

Our problem with a wafer thin squad packed with loanees means that nobody gets an impressive appearance record. That's not a good justification for Hendo's lack of appearance, IMHO. And the repeated sendings off staop us ever building a stable partnership.

We might disagree about how much Hendo offers us. We surely don't agree that his reported salary of xclose to £15K per week isn't nearly sustainable in the third division?
