Win % can be a very misleading stat when you don't take into account the level the team was playing at. Dyche naturally has a lower win rate while keeping Burnley in the Prem than say a manager who keeps a Championship side in seventh. Doesn't mean that keeping Burnley in the Prem for a few seasons isn't the greater achievement.
That said...why in shitting crikey would I want Dyche even if I DID inexplicably want Heckingbottom out? It's not just about "who's the better manager?". It's also about what personnel is available and whether the manager would be well suited. I do not see Dyche making the most of Norwood, Berge, N'Diaye et al.
This side is a joy to watch when remotely fit and firing. Heckingbottom has won more Championship games than anyone in this last calendar year. I think he's amassed 87 points since he took over. Aside from injuries everything is heading in the direction of success. Now is not the time to switch to one of history's dullest managers just because he ground out Prem survival for a while.
