Hecky and McCall

Yes, he did.

All it needs before the team are announced is.

"I'm sure you'll join me in welcoming back....."

and that gives the fans the chance to clap if they want.

Fans are very quick to state that players/managers should want to join such a great club but then the club has to do the right thing by ex staff.

Sounds like rather than say "He needs no introduction", before introducing him, he indeed didn't need an introduction... and people clapped yesterday, so it's all good then.

Does everything have to be stage managed & choreographed? Plenty of fans showed their appreciation. I’m pretty sure that Hecky & Stuart will have left the ground last night knowing the high regard in which they are generally held by fans.
Oh agreed, there's far too many minutes silence, applauses or choreographed engagement, but when a former successful manager returns for the first time I expect the club to acknowledge him. It's common courtesy. Doesn't have to be much. Just a gesture.

The problem with a lot of these minute's applauses is that unless you constantly follow social media, you haven't a clue what the applause is for and you have the dilemma as to whether to join in and clap or sit on your hands wondering what it's all about - risking a guilty conscience later when you find out and wish you'd joined in
Aye
I was wholly oblivious to the Baldock ovation until hearing the “Starman” chant afterwards so ‘missed out’ on participating.
(Thankfully) I recognised the ‘appreciation’ for for their mysogynistic cunt of a substitute & sat on my hands whilst glaring at any moron lauding the tosser.
Shame nobody thought to ‘announce’ / recognise that yesterday was International Women’s Day ???!?!

I am old enough remember posting on here that Ched would come good when he was a huge flop on his "big" transfer fee. It was only until his last season where he was clearly going on a free he started scoring for fun. Unfortunately that was all after a grubby night out in Rhyl.

For people to be clapping him is bizarre to me.

Hecky and McCall deserved a welcome back as without what they managed to achieve we would be in a very dark place right now

I clapped him. Life decisions apart he did good for us.

I agree about the endless budgie request, but I do feel there are exceptions, for instance the young lad stabbed recently, there it served two purposes, to acknowledge the passing of a young Blade in tragic circumstances, but also a message about the damage knife crime is doing to individuals and society as a whole. I do understand and appreciate the grief of those wanting the applause for there departed loved ones, but for me, it is something I think is impacting on the game overall and I wont be taking part. Of course when my time comes, as the biggest blade ever, I expect at least 10 minutes of clapping by the 10 people in the ground who actually knew me. 😂 😂 😂 😂
I want Jansky , Frank and B56 doing the conga across the roof of the BL stand

I once saw people clapping participants in the Sheffield Star Walk. For walking. What’s next, clapping them for blinking??

Yes i remember when he tried to sue us for loss of earnings

Who was better - League One Ched 11/12 season or League One Billy 16/17 season?

I think I would have to go with Ched, just.
