I take from his interview there will be at least one more striker of equal/better quality coming in, as Clough was quick to reject the idea he will be the 'main man', and is another 'for the future'. I suspect there will be his genuine first choice striker and a squad striker at least to come in yet.

The "one for the future" phrase NC likes using strikes me as a very useful way of turning down the pressure and expectations that surround the young lads he signs, just another example of his great managerial experience. It means bugger all if the lad performs, I mean, the first game of next season is the future isn't it?
