Unfortunately there's no room for sentiment in football, I love Chris and I desperately hope he can turn this around but where do you draw the line? what will our feelings be if we're still winless by Christmas? At the moment I really can't see where a win is coming from, confidence shot to bits, goal shy strikers and a midfield which literally creates nothing. We can all debate our summer transfer activity and my personal opinion it's been relatively poor and fairly underwhelming. Brewster is an exciting player and I'm sure he'll come good but did we need someone abit more proven at this level? We also have to ask ourselves where do we really see us going as a club, what are our serious expectations? We can't expect to be regular top half finishers but then in the same breath complain about paying good wages for players who will really improve us. Would we all be happy to just survive each year by the skin of our teeth so long as nobody is breaking the wage structure?
