I think the players will be significantly more likely to be fracticious with each other than with the manager tbh. I can see there being quite a few fiery conversations between them. And good.

Watching the performances, they havent been lacking effort. The players are at pains to take responsibility post match. Talk about motivation being high. Training good.

These arent the noises of players looking to abandon a manager.

I think he's lost players like Fleck & Norwood. I think Wilder has realised the squad isnt good enough to stay up as every interview with Radio Sheffield he wants to mention it but stops himself. I think wilder is fed up that many of his core players are out of form and with no funds to replace he has to make do with what he's got. however its his own fault

Wilder knew this last season, there's some huge clues in his interview after the away game at Leicester that he knew this season would be hugely difficult, and his transfer dealings suggest he's looking for the long term approach.

"These players are lucky.....I don't expect any huge changes next season".

He said something along those lines. He knew then that this squad was not good enough to remain in the top flight for a prolonged period. So he's bought the likes of Brewster/Berge/Mcburnie/Burke etc etc for the long term.

I'm not massively sure "long term" applies to Brewster. Liverpool have inserted a buy back I believe. So, if Brewster comes in and scores 25 goals (now as likely as me spending New Years Eve with Kelly Brook) then they trigger the buy back.

The others, I kind of agree. But Berge will most likely be off in January, Mcburnie is starting to look like the Prem is a step too far IMHO. Burke looks like one of those old wind up robots that only used to change direction when it hit an obstacle. He seems to have pace to burn, but thats about it.

People would rather sign a 30 year old with Premier League experience just for a bit more hope of staying up for another 12 months, than invest in players for the future in the hopes of progressing and taking bigger steps like a Leicester/Wolves.

Young players can only be beneficial to us if we are a PL club, it's that simple. Look at how Leicester relied heavily on old heads and then slowly bled the young talent through. Leicester's success is built on players like Morgan, Huth, Fuchs, Ulloa, Cambiasso & Albrighton, allowing a platform from which to build, and stumbling on Vardy.

If we do go down, and Brewster has a storming season next season, and we don't come back up, he will be sold. Just as Brentford found with Ollie Watkins. Brewster as with Berge might have a glittering career but it won't be with us. We go down, Berge will definitely leave, Brewster might depending on the likes of a Villa or Newcastle taking a punt. We've had enough young talent stolen off us due to us being in the wrong leagues to know how the story goes.

Staying in the PL is all that matters, it gives you unprecedented financial ability. The Berge signing was one which on paper should've been made either in the JTW or next summer, Brewster next summer or the JTW in 2021 and Ramsdale romantic naivety. We got ahead of ourselves and tried to keep certain players happy.

The question was who would do better. My response I stand by. Take Joe Bloggs out of his council house and put him in charge and the likelihood of him getting more than 2 points from 20 games is quite high.

If he does go, then yes, a large proportion of the blame would still rest with him, given the 2 points from 17 games and some of the signings he has lumbered us with.

Just been watching Salford documentary from when they the two managers in charge. They didn’t win a game in 5 and their was so many changing room bust ups and owners were getting impatient.

I genuinely wonder what’s going on behind the scenes with us now.
