I think it's just that the players now realise that he knows they aren't good enough, they know the manager has consistently said we can't compete, we aren't good enough, we make too many mistakes , so now they know that he has no confidence in them , so they have none in themselves, every team knows score first they win

I dont see any evidence coming Chuckbuddy for your assertion.? If he was at odds with the players I would expect to see a lot of dissension from the players who were being subbed, in the manner of ...." Oh he's got it wrong again..taking me off...." Didn't see that.
Having said that it was the most frustrating game I've sat thru in years. We get up to the 18 yard box and then come back and do the same on the other wing. Anybody got any stats on how many back passes we made tonite.? That must be a record as well to go with the 20 games..

I was one of the few that thought there was still hope. That hope has gone now. Wilder is the best man for next season. Someone like Allardyce will only come in as a short term fix and then be off to a bigger or higher up club.

This really has nothing to do with Chris.

The players can't put a decent cross or create a successful pullback when our whole style of play is wing play.

The team is just not good enough for this division this year. We don't have the creativity to pick the lock anymore when we go behind, our defense isn't working without O'connell so we concede more, ramsdale is making a lot of mistakes, the strikers don't score the small amount of chances they do have its just poor.

Hopefully Chris can rebuild our midfield with a creative player that can create chances for our strikers and get a replacement in at lcb and that will be enough but I doubt it now in a hard winter transfer window.
 
What struck me tonight is we're losing 1 0 in injury time and seemed happy just to keep the ball... No urgency whatsoever.. Not even trying to score... They are not exactly running through brick walls for the cause are they...
 
I'd not say he has lost the dressing room, quite the opposite.

I think they are stuck doing the same things that are no longer working which he is telling them to do. Unless we move the ball quicker our entire play is so predictable.
 



I don't believe that he's lost the dressing room in the sense that players want him out. Not at all. However I don't think that players believe in him, or themselves anymore.
A result may change that, but where that comes from, I don't know.
Belief and confidence are absolutely gone. Only Basham, Egan, McGoldrick and Baldock are ever ever willing to back themselves. The rest have no belief in themselves, the tactics, Wilder or anything else.

I still want him to stay, but I don't judge those who want change.
It's bloody tragic to watch.
