Has anyone on here wondered if Amanda Stavely might buy the Blades instead of being pissed about by Mike Ashley? No, of course not. She wants a Premier club and believes that run properly, NUFC could be one of the country's biggest clubs.

They are still a PL club and despite Ashley's budget strangulation they are years ahead of us. If they come down they will have over £100m of parachute payments that we just can't compete with.

So end of story then? Well, er not quite. Over on NKT the deluded are at it again:

"Fresh from her failed £350 million bid for Newcastle, you gotta think Donny - borm Amanda would be better splashing cash on us and doing a Watford or Wolves.

At what , £50 million? Then another £50 million on players for EPL.

Must be tempting as we are similar in size to Geordies."

Perfectly plausible ,Wednesday are a bigger club than Newcastle.
 
Perhaps she wanted a cheap deal and lots of PR.

Best thing about the prince coming in was that it was a surprise to everyone, no PR or hype, just a decent investor with sensible plans

More likely to know our Prince because of her connections than Fish Man, so it must be us.

As you were, deal for Newcastle will be done.

They need a new subject to puff themselves up after promotion failure and the disappointment that Jos isn’t the messiah.

If it wasn't the fact that Burton, Sunderland and Hull are garbage, they'd be very worried indeed.

Unfortunately I can't see any of those even achieving 40 points.

Pretty sure she's from Ripon. Her family founded Lightwater Valley theme park

Never a quiet day here my friend, always deals to be done, litigation to be avoided, the usual Monday really.

She comes from North Stainley where the pub is the Staveley Arms and Daddy has a lot of land.

Good beer at that pub though - so maybe she would fancy owning a club in the world’s real ale capital!

Just so much to have a go at in that statement:
1. Locality of birth meaning interest.
2. Better buying Wednesday than Newcastle. (No explanation needed.)
3. Doing a Watford/Wolves of course just chucking money at it makes it work see Watford/Wolves/Wednesday ...oh...
4. £50 million of players to go with the £30 million of relegation fodder they have at the moment.

The gift that keeps on giving.

I can just see this, Amanda tries to buy United,turns out she's not a pot to piss in,has sex change turns into Alan Poolsbrook ,carrier bag from Aldi,stuffed full of money goes missing,Member of board does a Lord Lucan,but still renews season ticket,despite being a person of interest for the authorities.

Martin Scorcese makes film about it,film is garbage but soundtrack is excellent.

Why is this even a thread on here? It reads like the point is "have a look what all these deluded wendies are saying, claiming they're bigger than Newcastle ". But it's just an 8 post thread in which 1 poster thinks Wednesday are bigger than Newcastle, but 3 posters agree that they're not.
