Personally if we avoid defeat on 26th and win games in hand if we dont go up we've fucked something up.

Centre half on loan - I presume as back up? That's where Big Davie Weir comes in; he's still training with us as far as I know.
And you've got to be careful putting both feet in, tends to lead to red cards these days![]()
March is a heavy month and whilst the games are all winnable, we can easily slip up as there isn't too much recovery time between games so knocks and injuries might start to figure.
Without a doubt, the team would be affected if Macca got injured. But the same could be said for the entire spine
Simmo - Collins - Doyle - Macca - Ched
Certainly wouldn't use Quinn in the middle, don't rate him there. So its Willo.
That said, we have a very solid team at this level, so I would hope that the style of play would remain, we just lose a ball playing option and it would mean that the wingers and fullbacks would have to step up more.
ten wins.. eight games at home.. keep the faith![]()

We turned around wendy's 4 point lead into a 2 point deficit in a matter of 10 days
With a whopping 51 points to play for, I think it would be madness to start thinking that a victory over Huddersfield means we are going up.
Unfortunately, were we are concerned, it doesn't work like that.
Long, long, way to go.
Heads down, one game at a time and just focus on the next 3 points and then what will be will be
Au contraire, it does work like that. The only seasons in my lifettme when we have had 59 points or more after 29 games were in 81-82 (when we had 59) and 05-06 (when we had 65 points). We, of course, went up both times.
Good stats Darren. However, as I am a glass half empty supporter, followed by someone who hates tempting fate, I'll stick with my original theory.
I for one will refuse to discuss whether we are already one foot in the championship until we have both feet planted in there
That way I wont get too disappointed if it doesn't happen (honest), I wont be seen to be acting arrogant unlike some fans over the other side of the city and it wont be an anti-climax, if by some quirk of fate we manage to achieve our goal

I understand your mentality and sympthathise with it! However, logic tells one that if a club is, after about 2/3 of the season, averaging more than 2 points a game than that is because it is much better than most of the rest of its division. It follows that barring some catastrophic set of injuries one can confidently expect that that club will continue to beat most teams it faces.
So cautious optimism is the word!
Just wait until Chezzy take some points off the Pigs on Sat-di. Huddersfield not playing until a week on Sat-di. Get a win and suddenly we are looking at putting distance between us and the rest.
Truth is that it is one step at a time. However I think Wilson will keep them focused. Consistency is the key. But a win t-morra and a result at the Sty and we're looking great. The games will come thick and fast in March, but they are all winnable. Big chance for us. Keeping our feet on the ground is essential,, but why not put a bit of pressure on Charlton??!![]()
