2 unimpressive wins against 9 men, scrappy 1-1 draw today.
If we'd have played against 11 men v Shrewsbury and Bury, we could conceivably have been looking at just one point from the last 9.
Yes, Chrissy Wilder is one of our own, but so am and I think I'd struggle to get out of this dire league as well.

Unimpressive by scoreline not by performance. Shrewsbury would've got spanked at 11v11, we were already in command when Sharp had the pen.

At one point I counted 17 players in the Shrewsbury box... SEVENTEEN! You try picking a spot.

Blades stats v Shrewsbury
61% Possession
30 shots
20 corners

v Bury
65% possession
21 shots
10 corners

v Charlton
62% possession
10 shots
11 corners

We've absolutely hammered these teams. Shrews and Bury well and truly parked the bus. We won. They were games we wouldn't have won last season.

Charlton, I couldn't go but we controlled the game from the 1st to the last. Chris Wilder was angry at letting them in as we should've been out of sight.

In summary, your OP is either baffling, or taking the piss?!?o_O

In our last 3 matches we've had 61 shots and 41 corners
Against 11 shots and 5 corners from the opposition.

Total and utter domination.

A more valid question is "will we lose a league game this season"?
Quite possibly if we don't convert more of the 61 shots and 41 corners. That amount of control is embarrassing when we win by 1 goal. CW will be all over this, he can't do anything until January, then might surprise us all.

It certainly looks that way. Honeymoon period seems to be drawing to a close, and we are gradually losing momentum. I can sense a few sobering defeats are on their way.

Geyore!

We'd have won more comfortably against Shrews and Shakers if they'd kept 11 men on the pitch. That's my honest opinion.

9 men means a 9 man defence and both those games turned into an attack v defence training exercise. But we still won!

Yesterday we bossed it for the whole game - and you can't knock that against a team who are better than their current form suggests. Expect them to start climbing the table very soon.

The only disappointment is that we lack a bit of creative spark up front to undo teams by racing at them head on and getting around the back of them more often. But also yesterday we defended that free kick abysmally.

Wheels off? No way! Not even a slow puncture! Just a little hiccup along the way to promotion!

If saturday was "losing momentum" then I've been speaking the wrong language for the last ** years!

The op is more or less everything that's wrong with football at the moment.

When football fans don't recognise a gentle piss take, then that really does illustrate what's wrong with football at the moment.

I was amused by GreasyChipBeattie but I thought it was a response to some of the comments made by others on the Shoutbox

My God, how could anyone have missed the subtle humour in that.
Now you've had to point it out, it's so bloody hilarious!

Well and truly we are nailed on to go down

Tufty is furious, can barely bring himself to say the players' names.

That is the big difference this season. No mention of a good away point. I want to take this club forward and the players have to understand that.

Best interview from a Blades manager for years. Made me feel better anyway.

Duffy did OK by all accounts Gray! I guess you and Tufty know a lot more than me.

UTB
A refreshing change not having to listen to a blurt called Nigel justifying defeat to Bury and Yeovil.

Proud?

The run had to end sometime but yet again we can't capitalise from a strong position with a game in hand. Its nights like this that make you want to believe in the curse.

Scunny, Bolton, Pigs (of course) all pissing themselves tonight.

Have the wheels come off?........
Well something has been loose since the Chesterfield game in my opinion and I think its more than just a wheel or two!!

Tight defences. Loose final balls.

I thought we'd struggle if we went 1-0 behind. 1-0 either way depending who scored first is what I said to a mate.

......and that's why that Chartlon result was so bad.

I thought we'd win tonight but the warning signs were there so it's no massive surprise.

This actually could indicate that we're set for a slump. At least at home.

We'd all better get used to the pressure.
Last few seasons, results didn't matter as much as now.
A loss gave us chance to moan, a win chance to fantasise a bit.
Anyone that watched knew we weren't really good enough to seriously challenge.
This season is different and better in every way.
The downside is that the importance of every game is immense, so get used to it and try to stay sane and sensible when things wobble a bit.
We can only trust Wilder and Knill.

Spot on. Fat lady singing n all that.

I said on the shout box, tonight was a blip. A blip had to come, it was inevitable. The fact that many of us feel so disappointed is because of how far we've come this year, the very fact that I was hanging on in hope in the last few minutes is very telling. In Wilder we have a man with a plan, a die hard Blade and he has instilled a never say die attitude. That is why I believe we'd snatch something right to the end, and Christ - we nearly did - a penalty miss and a ruled out goal. We could have, and arguably should have won it. How long has it been since we had that faith, or we had a side with this much passion, or indeed we went 15 unbeaten??
Tonight was a blip yes, and how we now respond is a test, but not a massive one, given that its still November.

On to the next one, UTB.

The wheels haven't come off, but they've gone flat, and quite possibly a few of them need changing.
