Wouldn’t say excellent, done ok. Really good defending but attacking he has just been ok, couple of times he held the ball up down the left wing and did back heels, that was good play. But a few bad controls and a few bad balls in aswell. So only ok for me so far nothing more. Fleck, Berge have been Excellent if you want to find players excelling.

Yes some good defensive interceptions, but he shouldn’t be measured on that, he is a striker

Ain’t seen the stats, but can’t recall an attempt on target, a potential assist, a great pass, anything of note

Would be interested to see number of fouls he conceded, imo goes up as much to throw himself about as to actually win the ball

Not pissing on the victory, I’m assessing one player as referenced in this thread, and for me MGW, Berge, Egan we’re the 8/10 standout players. Stevens, Baldock, Fleck, Norwood we’re 7/10 & showed up, McB 6/10 - without a few defensive clearances would be 5/10.

I must have watched a different game to be honest, going forward he held up the play a delightful back heal to t
MGW made a complete nuisance of himself. At the back he cleared several dangers, likewise I said for the team caused 9/10. When a defender scores it a well done . Think you are being harsh

Aaaah, AGeNda. It's possible to be critical without having an agenda. He was much better first half tonight, won headers, linked play a bit like you'd expect. Fluffed his clear cut header then ran out of steam again second half. Still, an improvement.

What could his agenda be? Everyone has an opinion on players based solely on what they witness with their mince pies. If someone does not rate a player or agree with others does that mean they have an agenda against a player? Come on now.

I think he is dog shit personally, but tonight he did ok in the first half, did the basics of control a ball and laying it off, he did this very well a few times, did it poorly a few times I may add, did well defensively so yeah he did ok for me without ever being a goal threat or looking dangerous. Jebbo came on and had many touches, controled the ball and layed it off on a few occasions, never stopped running, he did what was asked of him like MCB, would you say Jebbo was excellent or did he come on and do ok?

I always wonder how other teams view their striker for doing the very basics of what is asked of him without ever looking a goal threat. For example Lyndon Dykes up front for QPR who ironically keeps MCB out of the Scotland squad. He worked his socks off, never stopped, controlled the ball and layed it off, won headers, but was never a threat. I wonder if their fans think he was excellent? Do you? I don’t I think he’s shit but he did everything MCB did so by rights if your judging a player for doing the very basics of a football player then Lyndon Dykes is amazing and we should sign the lump up.

Still poor for me. Lethargic movement, on his arse from the slightest touch. Never quite seems to be in the right place. And his headers are always so SOFT. Compared to Billy who heads it like a rocket. No way those gentle lobs are ever going to get past a half decent goalie

Several good passes, one effort on target and a great deal of good hold up play.
Not outstanding but more than adequate.
Did he score ? No, but was he given any decent crosses to attack ? No.
