Well honestly 2 months ago we'd of not considered this one as Freeman played out of his skin and kept an energetic Baldock out of the team and rightfully so. Yet since the return of Freeman from Wales' training camp he's looked woeful and a shadow of his former self, leading to Baldock reclaiming the right back spot.
I think it's fairly obvious that although Baldock is a great athlete and covers ground well he's not the answer in terms of the type of quality that is going to get us out of this division.
I'd like to see us go after Ben Marshall if Norwich would sell to a potential rival or a potential loan move for Kyle Walker-Peters who would really benefit from the games and give us a complete new dimension down the right wing.
Right and Left wing back are two of the positions we need our better players in as they are so involved in the game and an integral part of us exploiting teams. I haven't given up on freeman as he demonstrated even in a lackluster performance put 3/4 crosses in that on another day we could easily score from.
Baldock is a solid option, but we're in a position where that little bit extra is going to be the difference between success and failure.
