Has Marlon King gone?

I heard his 'injury' will last him nicely through the xmas period to disappear into nothingness in January

So it looks like Marlon King hasn't gone...

..However it looks like Bladesmad website has :D

Was going to create a thread about this. His name hasn't even appeared on the last few match day programmes.

Fingers crossed we've got rid of this absolute waste of oxygen and can use his wages to fund a decent striker and a proper human being.

He's still on the official website, however that still lists Fred Priest in the squad.

Clough's recent interview said he had a knee injury (which was common knowledge when he signed ?)

Embarrassingly I bet he leaves with a pay off.

When will we turn our useless recruitment policy round ?

Over to Nigel and Simon

I agree, the signing of King was as desperate as it was pathetic.

It's not often I'm ashamed of my football club, but I was the day we signed him.

Good riddance, a very poor performance from King during his short stay at SUFC.

a desperate signing by Wier who lets face it was in the final throws of his short stint in league management.

Clough wont entertain a fool like King, hardly surprised hes been bombed out. Brandy will be next to go.

Well to be fair he was the first forward to score a goal in about 24 hours of football!! And er that's about it.

Bit like employing Mike Tyson as your local neighbourhood watch representative.

Agree PeteBlade, a sorry day when King was considered the answer. He lived on past 'glories', sold everyone a false hope, and took a good wage in return, so another fibbing scam artist that left a stain on SUFC. Never mind mate, not Nigel's fault, and you can bet he'll be looking at a player's character as well as their talent when he signs them. Hope you're well mate, and glad to see you here, happy new year to you and yours,

COYRAWW! UTB

Good riddance, don't personally know the bloke but our family club don't need people with his past. Thanks Mr Weir for that great business NOT.

Excellent news! Just disappointed that we took him on in the first place, but so glad to see this nasty piece of work depart from our great club!

Up the blades and happy new year to all - right time for a drink!

You mean there's a wrong time?

It's always gratifying when someone confirms everything you thought about them.

There were a lot more people involved in the signing of King. Weir was one of them

To paraphrase a quote wrongfully attributed to Goering "whenever I hear the words "family club", I reach for my revolver".

It's a piece of nonsensical cant. SUFC are no more a "family club" than any other club.

I don't think Weir wanted him. I think this is the player Weir was talking about when he said the Prince money changed things and suddenly we were signings players he didn't want because of expectation.

Been One of the biggest farces and embarrassments in our history, and as we know we have had a few to compare it to.
