Thread on Pork Talk says he's resigned from Scarborough United, which was the company set up for this Anglo Nigerian Construction project. A directorship has also been terminated at Scarborough Capital, is that him as well ? Can't see any notification for SU plc, the third company where he had a directorship.

If this is true (and presumably the poster has some knowledge) then I guess they have failed to raise the necessary construction monies in Nigeria.

I think Scarborough Group are due to report their accounts soon, so I guess we'll be hearing something about this from our esteemed owner.

Not that I expected any money to come to SUFC.

I thought It was widely accepted that he'd been written off, even within the club?

UTB

Last time I checked (probably a couple of weeks ago) he was still listed as a director of Scarborough Capital Ltd, Scarborough United Group Ltd and Sheffield United PLC.

They are still showing on Duedil.com.

However, on 15 August 2013, there was a Termination Of Appointment Of Director at both Scarborough United and Scarborough Capital (but not SU plc). Summat's going on.

It costs 80p to get the documents but I can wait ..........................

fucks sake. really?
i mean a pig fan has actually gone to dig up this?
Taking obsessed to a whole new level lmao!

Is McCabe some kind of fantasist? He consistently raises expectations to ludicrous levels whether its buying clubs overseas and promising players, then it is investors. Come back Reg Brearley (only joking). Perhaps we should turn to Bates.

Oh come on we all knew this business link up was bullshit from the start. There was more chance of the king of Nigeria pumping money in to united.

Jacob Esan is not much different to a spam email claiming you have a rebate from HMRC.

ERM This was a Nigerian wanting to invest? I could put you in touch with a few. with similar intent, provided you invest ten squilian into Sirius Enterprises first.

What a load of high end bollocks.

Unless or until we're on the edge of the prem, the word 'investment' in the context of SUFC is laughable. Even then it'll be fraught with danger.

What we need is benefactors.

We seem to pull Jacob Esan from the same hat that Wednesday pulled out lots of mystery investors during the PlusNet blokes reign in charge over there. It was laughable at Wednesday but for some reason, I just feel a little bit of anger that we're borrowing their hat, for whatever reason.

Well we did, except for contrary to popular belief it was never actually said to my knowledge that he was an investor. He was "helping" to seek and secure investment in a market he supposedly knew about. Where as many people appear to have assumed he was coming in with a cheque book of his own... well that and deciding to take the piss out of his nationality.

A slightly dodgy question: Kevvy Kev ain't getting any younger. I've no doubt a man of his means eats the finest delicasies known to man, drinks fairtrade carbon neutral low fat vino and can run 100m fatser than me (no big ask) - but mortality catches up with us all.

Anybody know where his ownership is due to go once he is no more, has ceased to be, bereft of life, rests in peace, is in effect an ex-football-club-owner? His son?

Whoever takes over his shares, I would imagine.

The vast majority of Scarborough Group International is owned by Scarborough 1992 Trust. Basically the McCabe family owns Scarborough Group and SUFC. In short, McCabe, his two kids (Simon and Scott) and their 3 kids own the lot.

As Trusts are generally means for reducing tax, it stays with the kids unless they decide to sell.

I notice on Mad someone spoke to McCabe who was observing the Weir chat at Handsworth. He said McCabe was planning to move away from any SUFC director role after Christmas (he's only on the SUFC plc board not the football club)

Scott seems to have the main involvement now, so I assume he becomes the main decision maker. Wonder if he has the stomach to carry on and whether his dad will resist meddling. In effect, Kev is still the owner.

Obviously that is heresay but I doubt that poster would have put it on Mad unless he'd had the conversation

You're right Foxy, it was said that he didn't have the money himself but was seeking investors through his Nigerian connections. I'm sure McCabe admitted any investment would be in property on the plc side but the football club may see some of it. It was genius spin by McCabe - didn't it happen around the time of the Blackman sale or some other bad news. He knew the Stir and others would headline it with '500 million investment in United' deflecting the bad news or non-news. I think McCabe probably knew nothing would come of it.

I think it was a Friday (Black Friday) The day the o/s also announced the sale of Quinn to Hull

Everyone knew McCabe had tried to soften the blow with such a sh1t article about the pursuit of a $500m investment in the property group with some bullshit about syphoning some "sensible" amount off to the football club

Yeah right!

Meanwhile, back in the real world................................................

I think we should all wait until McCabe tells us the real story. We have to trust him.

Thank fook for that. Now maybe we can finally get someone sensible on the board like Terry Tibbs.
