Has anybody sat in the home end at Hillsborough, against the Blades?

I stood on their awful Kop for a pretty awful Boxing Day match many years ago. Won’t be doing that again.

2001 , 3 of us front row north stand then moved to end block next to leppings lane with police / stewards surrounding hundreds of blades - they even escorted me for a piss and brought me back..
How times have changed

Yes. South Stand near away end on Bobby Davison Day. I had been drinking, so cheered all the goals. Luckily, the surrounding pigs did nothing. There were plenty of other Blades in there too. I don't think I would (a) sit there nowadays or (b) celebrate.

Coming up to the big match in two weeks - I’m slightly intrigued if any blades on here have sat in the home end at hillsborough before, and if so what was it like? What did you do when we scored? Or they scored? How did you feel about the whole thing in general in terms of difficulty?

UTB
Several times but the first few 1966,1970, couple of other times in the 1960s, 70’s was a different mindset.
Not been to Hillsborough since 2004 (?) and sat with Wednesday fans when Asaba scored. Loads of Blades in home end but there were several violent incidents. Not something I’d want to repeat. Blades won 2-1. Couldn’t celebrate till I got to the Landsdowne

Bobby Davison debut I was on their Kop at the back.. when Whitehouse scored the first loads of Blades celebrated was like fight club I kept quiet just wanted to ram the drum somewhere the sun didn't shine however that did take the gloss off a fine away win.
Exactly the same back of the kop and just kept head down

I’ve stood on their Kop when we drew 0-0 with Wendy , Hope was in goal with his Gonk just behind the post
Can’t remember the year, probably 1973 ish

I did with my mate we were only about 17 and an under the jacket air punch when we scored.
They clocked us but didn’t say anything squeaky bum though

Years ago I went to Zenith data blades vs old el rusticos sat in the front row 1-0 down and we scored, me and the lad I was sat with just jumped up screaming and shouting then that moment of shit we’ve fucked here, was about to jump over the hoarding to go on pitch as this seemed a better prospect but we turned around and there were 100’s of us in the stand, unfortunately we ended up losing 2-1.
I would say sit on your hands or go full mental case ( hopefully they won’t go near u)
I was with the blades in the cheesecake on leppings for that game.was quite a few crushes going on.

Twice. Both in their South Stand.
First one was Bobby Davison night where I would say it was 50/50 Pigs/Blades fans around us (at far end next to Leppings Lane end). Best away game of my life.

Second was when Killgallon got sent off and we lost 1-0. I was right in the middle so had to be a bit more reserved, but I do remember shouting abuse at Mike Dean.
Possibly worst away game and I had to have a wash when I got home.

Yes, boxing day. South Stand and plenty of Blades that didn't give a monkeys apart from the result.

Yes, done it once when we won 2 - 1 when Adaba and D'jaffo scored. Hated being in their end, didnt enjoy it even though we won I'd never do it again.

When we scored I had to sit on my hands. It was amazing seeing the away end erupt because normally we're cheering so I could see how it looked and our fans were going mental. Wednesday scored and I had to jump up and I felt guilty for weeks! Couldn't wait to get out of the ground!

When I worked at BT in the early 90s, someone lent me their season ticket on their South stand as they were on hols, and I couldn't get one on the away end. I sat with my workmates. Lost 3-1. I had already pre-planned sitting on my hands if we scored, I think we scored a penalty at 2-0 down and I cheered, but it was near the end. I was about 4 rows from the front and cheered and ran to the front, and remember turning around (looking to see if there were any Blades) and everyone was staring at me, but no one said anything or cared.

Holy crap!
Just as an aside. I just checked that 11v11 site, and in my mind we haven't played them very often... I remember as a kid, we always seemed to be in different divisions, but since 1974 (and more importantly since about 82ish) when I first went, we played each other 34 times! I'd never have guessed that many times. I would have said about 12.

I stood on their Kop when we lost 3-2 in the Zenith Data Systems cup ( I think that was what it was called)

Not a fun experience. Especially when they scored and the meat heads around me queried why I wasn't celebrating. I was only ten and all

I've sat in the north stand when we beat them 3- 1. Warnock's era when Dane Whitehouse scored 1st & Bobby Davison scored 2 more , including a header from the edge of the penalty area! The seat wasn't too bad & the atmosphere was electric before the match especially when Bob Booked appeared in their Leppings Lane upper tier. Couldn't actually see him but he's was greeted like the hero he was.
Don't ask how I got the ticket - it would embarrass the provider. UTB

Sat on their kop when we played them in the league, it was the derby game after the Wembley FA cup semi-final in 93.
Night game if my memory serves me well.
Finished 1-1, I think Deane scored for us, I was with a Wednesday fan, I did jump up when we scored. Got a few angry looks, nothing else.
I was living in Devon at the time, so was the Wednesday fan who I travelled up to Sheffield with.
I didn't enjoy it, much prefer to be with the Blades.

My first derby there was3 1 to us . That day there was 10,000 in there end

I had a dream this morning that Bob Booker had joined Wendy and was going to play against us in 2 weeks time!

I stood on their kop. Can’t remember which game though. Might have been a 1-1 draw.

My favourite ever away game but definitely Bassett not warnock

I have. When i was a kid, the schools used to given free tickets for both utd and wed games. I put my hand up, cos I wanted to watch my beloved blades, I was given a ticket and had to sit at the Leppings Lane end and watch us beat them. I delivered the most covert and subdued celebration to our goals. At one point, I thought I'd over done it, and suffered glowers of suspicion from pissed off Wendy's.

In the league cup, the chef at the pub I worked at had got two tickets from his brother who was a scout at Forest at the time, so we were sat with scouts from other clubs, including Peter Eustace who was scouting for West Ham at the time, who would face the winners of the tie. Marcus Bent missed from about 8 millimetres out, and they won. Around 2001 I think.

We were in whatever stand it is to the left of the away end. The stand was mainly populated with fuckwits, for a change.
Was in the same stand for this game.

Highlight was whinging to the bloke next to me about the Wednesday left back been beaten again by our right winger (Devlin?)
