Kid at West Brom, turns 20 this week.

Watched him in a cup qualifier last night, as he's on loan at Forest Green - a graceful yet tough central midfielder, was always alert, gliding all over and making the game look easy. Raking passes, beating players, looked pretty tall, relatively fast, was always looking to make things happen.

Also scored a clever goal.

No idea if he has a future at West Brom, but I fancy he'll be at least a Championship midfielder, so presumably. However, he's not a local lad so maybe he'd be happy enough to move away from the Midlands, maybe tempted by Donny airport re-opening.

I guess this suggestion is more of a "I reckon he'll be a player" rather than a "let's sign him".

N.B. Forest Green also had a very pacey, extremely confident winger, that looked a good dribbler with a handy left peg (Jili Buyabu). Buyabu is over two years older than Whitwell, RE loan destination (also shorter and more slender, so less likely to step up leagues).

Jili Buyabu, good job he's ours.
