Incoming? Harry Clarke

Sam Curtis has been out on loan 3 times - League One, League Two and Scottish Prem.

It begs the question to me that, by now, we should know whether or not he's capable of stepping up to the Championship, even as a back up who might make 15/20 appearances a season.

His contract's up at the end of the season and if we don't rate him, we might as well try and get a small fee for him and get him off the books. If there's someone in League One that we might be after, use him as a makeweight.
He’s only had one loan with any importance, league 2 at chesterfield. If you want to parachute a good league 2 defender into our first team then you can’t be serious.

BBC stating we're still in for Harry Clarke.

If this is true with the acquisition of Doherty and the likes of Shackleton still kicking around, does this set alarm bells lightly tinkling?

We gathered together 4 LB in 2023-4, none of them good enough and some atrocious (Lowe, Thomas, Larouci, Osborn). Maybe we are trying to do the same on the right now for reasons that escape me.

Seriously, if this is true, would it not have been better to use the money earmarked for Clarke and Doherty on one good player?

He's 20. A few months difference between him and One. It's just that we signed him during one of the woeful premier league years where people wanted a child put in the side fresh from Ireland that it feels like he's been here forever

Oh dear

Probably lazy agent / journalism continuing to link him with us trying to find him a move.

Unless Doherty has come as CB backup.

Not seen any rumours about Seriki leaving 🤞

We sign Clarke and Doherty and sell Seriki. I’m not sure how this is a positive. Our only 2 dangerous players last season and we decide to sell them

Outside of that bizarre first half v Pompey where he had to have been told to drop off Murphy (because 2nd half before he came off, he got much tighter), he was fine. Bog standard Championship full back, good in the air, willing to try and attack. Certainly better than Gilchrist but not a player I'd want Inited to pay a fee for.
