We have our first choice rb. It's hard to find an championship right back sub that I can imagine fans getting excited about
No but we might find one that we dont already know is garbage!! Plus wages, he won't be on back up money

Given he will cost a fee. Id rather we explore a back up from a potential in lower leagues.

Or how is sachdev doing?

Like Sam Curtis for example?
I think we'd be quite happy with that sort of signing as a back up right back if he wasn't already ours, given how well he did at Chesterfield last season.

Why did we pay a million for Sam Curtis is we don’t rate him as a back up

It’d be a waste of Curtis’ development for him to sit on the bench, he’d be best used with a League One loan.

And the state of our club/ squad/ expectations means a youngster should not be inserted into the first team unless were highly confident.

I am sure his first game on loan, was at home V Portsmouth. He was absolutely rinsed, time and again by their left winger - Josh Murphy. He beat him about 63 times. They could have been 4 up before we scored. Up there with John Ebbrell as one of the worst debuts I've seen at the Lane.

His debut was at Derby and he looked OK.

All the battling for 8th teams seem dead keen on this guy

Sam Curtis has been out on loan 3 times - League One, League Two and Scottish Prem.

It begs the question to me that, by now, we should know whether or not he's capable of stepping up to the Championship, even as a back up who might make 15/20 appearances a season.

His contract's up at the end of the season and if we don't rate him, we might as well try and get a small fee for him and get him off the books. If there's someone in League One that we might be after, use him as a makeweight.
