Been to watch a game between Solihull Moors and Notts County today. Harry Boyes at wing back. He did OK but not a standout performance. Was part of the Moors free kick routines but again nothing exceptional. Substituted on about 70 minutes. However only a preseason friendly. Final score 2-2 with County Down to 10 men. I watch the Moors whenever the Blades aren’t playing so I’ll keep tabs on Harry’s progress.

After a goal on Saturday Harry does it again tonight against Wealdstone. It’s a few months since I’ve watched the Moors and Harry has definitely come on in leaps and bounds. He’s now a regular starter and is a genuine threat from left wing back. He drives forward at every opportunity and tonight he beat his man time and time again, getting in decent crosses to the far post. He’s buzzing and full of confidence and its certainly looking good for the lad. The Moors won 2-1 despite going down to 10 men. They are now 4th in the National league with Harry being integral to their success

He's not down as a goal scorer tonight but pleased he's doing well.

Might be my live reporting. He hit the ball from the angle of the 6 yard box and the ball went in off the far post. However it was at the other end of the pitch from me so someone might have got a touch on the way.

He may eventually get there as he's still only young but he's a long way off Champ level at the moment.

Very good move. Think that Cadden is meant to be leaving them this summer so hopefully he can get that first team spot

Seems like a good move. He'll be stretched playing for them, which is probably what he needs the most.

My local team so will hopefully get to see him a few times. Looks like they're getting raided of the talent they had with Adams to Cardiff and Wilson gone to Bristol City so far. However, I think he's in good hands with an up and coming manager who possibly worked alongside Brian Deane at Sarpsborg? Come back a mean plant-based bastard our Hazza!

Someone on shoutbox this afternoon said that if we’re sending young lads out on loan we’ll need to tie them down to 3 year contracts, so they’re not walking back in their last year if they do well. I forget who it was, but good call!

Hopefully this is the start of several who are getting League football.

Harry's goal from 3mins40 onwards:

Thought it was only a back pass if the GK catches it.
There's been loads of games where GKs have tipped the ball over their bar or around the post from their own player, so why is this different? Or is it just shitty non-league officiating?

Nah, can't handle it in any way if it's from an intentional back pass, which this one most definitely was.
