Agreed. Think he's also 23 now so needs to be playing. Burrows shouldn't have played the full game tbh.

Unless he's wanting the Eastwood/Coulibaly forever contract to not play.

Burrows playing the full game was pretty daft when there's folk on here telling me that Wilder 'rested' him for the Boro and Sunderland away games, played in midweek.
But now all of a sudden Burrows can do a midweek cup game that most of the other first team squad are rested from.

Also, I'm not sure McCallum is actually any better than Boyes, more athletic and in heading for sure but less composed on the ball and with worse distribution.
The smart choice (with benefit of hindisght) would have been to play Boyes at LB last night and McCallum at LM with Burrows rested.

I would have played Boyes at LB and McCallum on the LW.

Yes, certainly odd. I guess the point of playing Burrows was to try him in a different role - sitting centrally in front of the back four from what I could see, and then oddly on the right side of midfield towards the end. I couldn't see any reason at all for playing Alfie though, especially with Colechin on the bench!
