They’ve been unlucky not to be promoted on several occasions. They don’t have a massive budget compared to most relegated championship sides and buy many players from non-league and sell them on for a profit. He’s done okay imo.

What about Enda mate, wasn't he from Pompey in Lg1... may have been on a free as well. Class player in his pomp.

Strangely (given his statistics) the Peterborough fans don't seem too worried about him leaving. They say he isn't a good LB and not quick enough to be a winger.

Odd that they voted him their player of the year then isn’t it?

Although the narrative is a funny one which I'll gladly accept... the reality is that I tried to find a bit of info out about the kid as it seems he's on his way and on the surface it would seem a great signing.

He was thrown in at the deepend when he wasn't ready and by the time the toon debacle arrived his confidence was shattered.
Wilder didn't do him any favors by playing him at left back and he was on his knees by the time the Arsenal of the drubbing.
To his credit he kept going as the season died for us.
I reckon he will be useful this season he had a very harsh learning curve last season hopefully he can come back from that traumatic period.

I agree with the general principle but full backs don't win you leagues.

Having a bad one can stop you from winning one though.

Brayford wasn’t a League One defender until we signed him. He was a Premier League defender.

Brayford was also signed at his peak (27 from memory) and he subsequently suffered a career limiting injury. I get where you’re going with the comparison but don’t think it’s accurate.
