Either play Hamer in the middle or don’t start him

His performance level last season was a bit over rated

Since starting regularly McCallum has averaged better performances than Burrows last season. He's the revelation of the season and is now undisputed first choice

I've been saying this for ages. He struggles against half decent wingers, positioning is amateur, he's weak, not particularly fast..

Yeah he's really poor. Can't defend, pulls out of tackles and his first thought with the ball is go backwards. McCallum should be playing in his position

He doesn't have the physical ability to be successful at this level. Too small, too weak, too slow, not fit enough.

He needs to get himself a new nutritional regime and training programme, otherwise he's going to continue to be exposed.

But because he scores the odd goal and can make a decent pass, people have lost sight of the what attributes modern fullbacks need.

Burrows can't read a player. I can sit on the settee and see when the attacker's going to drop the shoulder and when he's going to cut inside. Play the game for some time and it gets easy. Professional coaches must have a different approach because for a lad to be playing football this long and at a high level, he doesn't look like he even knows the basics.

But everyone knows that….the Peterboro fans said he can’t defend
However they said he’s fantastic getting forward and has a great cross.

So for matches where we’re defending more…then play McCallum
For matches where we’re attacking more….then play Burrows.

You could always see his weaknesses though. He was saved by his attacking output. Now that’s gone the rest of his game is glaring.

I'm guessing he's playing without much confidence at the minute. Last season he was playing with confidence and he was decent. Probably best suited to a wing back role but we're not playing wing backs obviously. Saying that he has plenty of opportunities to go forward from left back but defending he's looking too exposed.

We cannot get away with both him and Gus down the left hand side; both are too careless in possession and positional discipline.
We have only won 1 game this season when both have started and 2 games in total with either starting....

He looks great when the going is good and we're on the front foot. Sadly he also, like a few more of them, seems to shrink when it's on top.

McCallum's return can't come quick enough and who'd have thought we'd have been saying that last season.

He's so easy to play against it's unreal. Scared of a tackle, never stops a cross and pretty much stops and passes backwards whenever he gets the ball (giving the opposition no worries at all). It's like watching a boy play a man's game. Until he can get at least one of the basics right needs sticking in with the u21s

They are, from what I’ve read it’s mainly due to other things, but we’re genuinely better without him at times. I don’t think he’s a winger, he’s not fit enough for the middle. At this rate we might as well stick him up top like we did with Jose Baxter

I've seen Burrows Hamer McGuiness getting pelters and rightly so there so far off it at the minute. But nobody has mentioned Campbell he's been absolutely shocking this season bar the pigs game, looks over weight running like he's got moon boots on constantly out muscled by defenders doesn't hold the ball up doesn't win headers seen more movement from a concrete post.
