He did show quick thinking to do this. I enjoyed watching Saunders play for us, even if he was coming to the end of his career.

Right in front of me! I was a ST holder there. Still remember his face showing dismay at Dellas' sliced pass thinking that it was going out of play before he quickly realised that it was a clever pass spinning into play and then running for the ball making the keeper panic and tap the ball out of play rather than boot it to the back of the stand.

My son Simon was matchday mascot that day
Some photos were spoilt so they let him represent the club again at an away game the following season.
So November 1998 ,QPR away where Dean Saunders was very kind in having a quick chat with the family.
Both games against Vale and QPR , United won 2-1.
