Played a large part for us in second half of last season. Good look to the fella. Anyone who played a part in last seasons triumph should be highly regarded in our history. 6 years of shite then BAM records got set. I got to see the Blades win a title and lift a trophy, for that Hanson, I thank you. All the best.

I'm not sure a striker will be coming in. Wilder's comments on Saturday suggested he wanted someone to unlock the defence from midfield and less interested in another striker. This might just be a case of clearing one off the books.

And is it just me, or would anyone else feel underwhelmed with Devante Cole? In Wilder's words on Saturday, what's the point in buying pace? What would pace have offered against Bolton? Nothing. There wasn't any space to run into against a packed defence and midfield. What we need is that little bit of "qualiteh" to unlock a defence.

Did well for us when he came in and the bloke obviously loves a challenge!
I think he’ll do a good job for em.

He was brought in to get us over the line last season much like akinbiyi was under Warnock.

Probably knew he wouldn't be playing much this season but like others have said he was on the best money of his career and you can't blame him for taking the money having never been above league 1 level he'll not have made a fortune over his career (granted more than most people)

Hope he does well if only so another club gives us a few quid for him at the end of the season

A decent player who on his day is a nightmare for defences he nearly even bagged for us against Fulham if it weren't for a goal line clearance from what I remember. As others have said he was involved in last season and I can't wish him well enough . Good luck Hanson

Don't want to be a negative Neddy, but is money so tight that we have to loan out Hanson to afford to get a player or two to push for a spot in the richest league in the world?

It's the way in football unless you're Chelsea or Man City.

Agreed - "don't want a speedboat - no driver" as Wilder of Nazareth said

For me, Duffy needs help. This is our first priority, unlocking defences.

Wouldn't have thought so but there's little point paying him to train. With Donaldson stepping up and Evans back to fitness he's miles away from the first team.

There is always the outside chance that the lad actually wants to play football. Weird concept I know, but just a thought !!!

Agreed. He probably wants to go and play first team football at 30. Not sure why people are trying to spin this to suit their agenda. Surely it’s a simple GLTTL and on we go?

Yeah, he won't go down on my Blades Legends list but he came in, helped us get promoted and now he's off because he's not what we need to move forwards. Good luck to him, hope he plays until he's 35+.

I’d been looking forward to seeing him on Saturday. Hope he does well at Bury – he made a significant contribution to our promotion season, and if he’s sold in the summer he will sit alongside the likes of Akinbiyi, Dyer and O’Shea as signings that fulfilled a small but important part of some great memories.
