Been resigned to losing him since Wembley. Have been crying out for him this season when we’ve looked crap to come up with a bit of magic, just like we used to with N’Diaye a couple of years ago but he’s just not been able to (Brum aside - partly down to being played totally wrong). His general play is very hit and miss but you just never know if he’ll score a screamer, the only player in the squad that might do so. If the fee is good then again it goes towards sustaining us as a club, so long as we don’t get relegated!

It depends what the vision for the squad is this season Hamer didn’t really fit the system as good as he was and he was good. If the idea is to have a hard working but less creative centre of midfield than can run all day and close down the spaces which it might have to be if we persist with Selles then the replacement should be a truly top draw creative wide forward

If it takes 2 or even 3 windows to strengthen the squad, so be it.

He is one player and is replaceable. Maybe with players we already have as when they are all fit, we do have a lot of options for the midfield positions and will no doubt be adding before cop tomorrow.
