£13m bid rejects as derisory - way off. Why would £15m be enough

Reputable journalists in Leeds have said they are unlikely to bid again and have moved to more affordable targets

Hamer has reportedly enrolled his kids in a local school and just bought a house

He was in contact with O’Hare his best mate to get him to join United

He played yesterday, in a shit cup game and gave it his all. He wouldn’t have been risked or taken a risk himself if he was thinking he was off in the next couple of days. Didn’t play like his head had been turned did he.

None of our journos are saying there much in it. All noise from Leeds end who were obviously trying to unsettle him.
 
I think we should string Leeds along right up to the cut off point on Friday night by dangling the carrot in their faces and then tell them to go and do one . They are making this a habit unsettling our players which could derail our promotion chances and i feel this is just what they are doing . So lets go along with their game and then pull the plug on them at the last minute giving them no time to find an alternative . All being well after this week we could be in a lot better place financially .Can not see the club announcing any change of ownership this week which could affect our recruitment plans alerting others that we could be in the money . So hopefully we will not have to sell our household silver .
 
Always makes me laugh seeing some of our bed wetting fans when nothing has changed.

We have a value on our players and ALL are potentially sellable BUT only if we can use that money to bring in replacements that improve us.

Let's says Hamer's true value is 20 million, so we'll only sell him if we receive bids of at least 25 million and only if we have better players lined up.
Dont think any club is offering 25 million when they could have got him for 17.5 last week
Also as late in the window it's going to more difficult to bring in replacements as good for less.

Why cant our fans learn from past invents?
We don't have McCabe anymore, we don't have the same financial pressure, so we're not selling the crown jewels on the final day.

Exactly. Most of these “articles” are fans.

They’re hoping and praying there’s something in it. They’re regurgitating the shite that’s been written already but with their slant on it for views and clicks.

Not one of them have named a reputable source.

Yet our fans are scouring the internet looking for them and looking for reasons to believe them.

Believe it when sky sports says we’ve accepted a bid (I highly doubt he goes anywhere this window) Until that point give it a rest.

Latest bollocks I've seen is he's now put a transfer request in so that's why we'll accept less than the release clause.

You would think the owner has learned from last year what selling your prized assets does to a club so late in the transfer window, I just can’t see us doing it again, especially as we don’t need to as Gus has heaps of time left on his contract, unlike last year with the 2 departures at the last minute.

It would be promotion chance suicide. I just can’t see us doing it.

There's no evidence that we NEED any more sales.

There's no evidence that Hamer wants to go or us pushing to go.

He's still on a long contract.

There's currently no evidence that they have a better chance of going up than we do.

We have an imminent takeover where we may be able to buy more players and strengthen ourselves.

I'm not saying he definitely won't leave by the end of tomorrow but all this from Leeds is utter pathetic piss taking. If we sell him to them it HAS to be for maximum amount, ie £30million+. The amounts being quoted wouldn't even be worth considering. It makes no sense whatsoever what is being reported so I just don't believe it.

This is Sheffield United we are talking about, so passed history would suggest that he could very well be sold at the last minute, and no time to get a replacement 🤨

So please explain fo what reason at all would be accept a bit of £15 million, or even £18m for that matter for our best midfielder to our promotion rivals?

If its a premier league club yes but as explained, to accept such a low bid from Leeds makes NO sense. You can't even compare it to Ndiaye and Berge, their contrasts were up in 12 months. We have no reason at all to accept this.

I made no mention of the amounts, just that he could well be sold at the last minute after further negotiations
