Outgoing? Hamer

At this present moment I'm still uneasy on whether there is some substance to him going to Leeds. They've sold over 100 million pounds of players and are going for it this season. They also wanted Hamer before as mentioned by others and are we really confident that whichever board is in charge will tell them to stuff it if a bid comes in that's "ridiculous", probably around £18m.
They aren't 'going' for anything. They have sold most of their star players because of debt. If we had done the same, then many on here would have gone berserk. They are trying to fill holes and desperate to appease their fans. Leeds are in no better position than United, on or off the pitch.

Getting a bit fed up of this mischief making from Leeds and/or the media about Hamer, its pathetic really. At one point they were saying he'd agreed terms, when no fee had been agreed.....................madness! Leeds the bastion of football............not!

XSetRyan says £30 million plus Piroe, maybe then it’ll be considered 🤣

I’m hoping we beat them to promotion again VictoryBlade they tried the trick before muppets, how did that end up

How exactly are they going for it this year?

They had something in the region of £190m in loans and player instalments due this season if they didn’t sell anyone.

The lad who went to Brighton Rutter for £40m cost them £36m most of which was outstanding - just one example of how badly they’d been managed recently

Did same with Roe at Norwich and Benson at Burnley

They've got very rich owners though who will carry as much of a loss as FFP allows or maybe doesn't allow but that's probably won't be enforced for this season anyway. So yes they owe £190m of transfers but as they've sold over a million of assets they can afford a large budget to reinvest for this season.

Whether that's enough to buy Hamer only time will tell but I'm not confident that Leeds won't up there offer. They know Hamer could potentially score twenty goals a season from midfield.

You seem a bit of a worrier mate. Chill.

I'm not worried mate, just going out for a few pints with a mate, sadly a Wednesdayite! But years of supporting united leaves me very much glass half full when it comes to united and Wilder's interview this week hardly was reassuring that Hamer will stay.

Hope you enjoy your pints pal. Relax and look forward to a decent season ahead for United. I think we will go very well when we settle down, complete with Hamer in the team.

He's doesn't need to do anything of the sort. He's a SUFC employee and under contract until such time as we decide as a club to sell him. It won't be this window.
Well I disagree, if his agent has sussed out a package and he’s indicated he’s happy to move to them then I’d, I’d, err, stand him ont naughty step

Just my opinion What makes you think he's worth more?

Cos he's the best midfielder in the Championship and could very well be the difference between a promotion push and PL riches again, or mid table mediocrity.

When you see players with not even half his ability moving for ridiculous figures you realise what an asset we have with him. To 'give him away' for a measly £15m would be criminal. Just my opinion, mind.

Well reading the latest from that Leeds rag I think the penny is starting to drop . They are now saying (predictably ) that they are now focusing on a new target that's better than Harmer and cheaper . Well of course they will be better and it's nothing to do with the fact that we will not lay down for our bellies to be rubbed . What c--ts

Leeds have sold inferior players recently for a lot more than 15 mill

We paid £15 million for him.
He has a long contract.
He was the one bright spark from our abysmal Premier League season.
His figures in a quite frankly disgusting Premier League team weren't bad.
He was better than a young Manchester City so called superstar who will probably be worth £50 million without even getting a game for them.
He's as good as other players who have gone for double that amount.

I know that playing for us brings his value down in 90% of our own supporters eyes who still believe McCabe's bullshit that if a player is refused a move he will down tools and become a cunt, or cause all known manner of problems rather than suffer the indignity of playing for Sheffield United. But we have a Chairman now who love him or loathe him knows the value of footballers in the 2020's and isn't living in the 1980's.
