Worked in Leeds for years and got loads of Leeds supporting mates. With a few exceptions they’ve always had an overblown opinion of themselves.
Wednesday = The Deluded
Leeds = The Arrogants

Bringing my kids up in Leeds, I can second this. In fact I'd go far as to say that Leeds fans collectively are among the worst people in the world. Individually some are ok, but get a group of them and they're insufferable.

I reckon it's down to the one club city thing. We get all Billy big bollocks, there's always some Wendy, probably a relative, to knock us down a peg and vice versa. Whereas Leeds are just an affirmative, spiralling feedback loop which prevents them ever having any sense of proportion or realism about their place in the (football) world.

I highly doubt we concocted a fake story to unsettle Joel Piroe in retaliation.
He's a peripheral member of their squad, what would be the point?
Far more likely, they made the offer or floated the idea in negotiation.

Seems to be a lot of needle between us and them this season.

The funnest thing is they are convinced we are upset at losing Bogle, a guy who was not good enough to nail down a place in our last promotion season and only got the amount of game time he did last season due to George Baldocks long term injury.

I was delighted To see the back of Bogle a player who would have 2 decent games attacking wise then would follow it up by 5 bad ones where his poor defending cost us goals consistently

One thing I will say about Leeds as a place, there’s somewhere called arcade club full of stuff for oldies like me. Afraid it’s much better than the video game place in Sheffield.
